I had a WarBear level 50ish character on my account. I’m wondering what happened to it? Does the characters get reset each patch? Is there a way to “request” a character restore on my account?

Unfortunately, since the game currently utilizes locally saved data, the only way you would be able to retrieve any lost characters or save data would be through Steam’s Cloud save if the information has been backed up. This will not be the case with multiplayer characters which will be released with Patch 0.9.
