curious as to wether or not wed be able to play offline during the downtime? Id assume that yes it would be no problem but ya never know

No, it won’t be possible, because the the authentification when logging in, which is still in place does not work.
However the game will not kick you out, when you are already in, so if you log in before the downtime starts you can keep playing.
Once we have 1.0 on wednesday offline mode will be truely offline with no authentification.

oh okay, well looks like ill be staying in offline for a couple days lol. thanks for the info
The downtime is only 24H, after that 1.0 is released already.

My game client crashed during a zone change, I guess there is no way back now? 
Dang it. I forgot about that. I logged out and went to get food. NOOOOO!

Yes, the game is being prepared for the official launch. But hey, at least you get a free pet. Not many hours left on those.
