I understand servers being on fire on launch day but why on earth can I not play offline. I’ve been waiting for “True” offline and now that it’s here it doesn’t even work. The whole purpose of offline mode is to not have to deal with any kind of bugs such as simply logging in to play using local files.
Skill issue.
It works just fine. Change the game to launch in offline mode. Select or create your offline character. Play game! There is no “login”…
Nope. the OP is correct,. same issue here. keeps cycling through an attempt to ‘login’ very quick flash, then back to ‘play offline’
I’ve loaded the game and played offline today a number of time (including right now). I don’t see any “login” let alone get stuck on an infinite loop there. shrug.
Unplug your internet cable, you will not be able to play. (I just tried that also) Glad it’s working for you, but MANY of us are seeing the same ‘login’ window popup and then back to the Play Offline screen. Often it is imperceptibly fast, but when it is slow, it’s clearly there. I was able to play Online for 5 minutes, until I had to port to the next location, then the famous LE-61 error.
In Steam open the properties for Last Epoch and select the General tab. There should be a drop down box that offers the ability to select Offline.
If you don’t see that (doesn’t seem to work on Linux) add -offline
to the launch options. If that fails try --offline
it’s different Linux and Windows…
Have you gone to the games properties tab in steam and changed it to “Play full offline” ?
