Just lost my main Primalist today from being overwritten by a new character.
I know there were issues with characters being deleted/overwritten back in March, but I thought this problem had been fixed.
I started playing Last Epoch again 2 weeks ago after a couple months break. In these 2 weeks I had created three new characters with no issues, but yesterday I created a fourth new character (a mage), played it for awhile then logged off. Today, when I logged in , I noticed that my pre-existing Primalist main was no longer listed in the selection screen.
After thinking about what was different this time, I realized that the previous new characters had all been created when first starting up Last Epoch. Yesterday, however, I had already been playing for awhile, and upon deciding to start a new mage character, I just clicked the Leave Game button which took me back to the selection screen, and created him like normal. This seems to be where the game is bugging out.
So I backed up my save directory, and did some testing. For me at least, I can reliably recreate this overwrite/deletion bug over and over. Anytime I start the game, play an existing character for awhile, then go back to the selection screen without exiting the game, and create a new offline character, Last Epoch will overwrite one of my pre-existing characters with the newly created one.
System is Windows 10, and all my characters are offline only, have never created an online character. Total number of characters I had at the time this first occurred was 15, if that matters.
