I would say that it depends on your build. If your primary damage output comes from necrotic damage i would go for the spoon since it causes ailments just by spell hits and increases damage accordingly. My opinion of course.
I assume youâre trying to scale Witchfire/DoTs in general since you have the relic, unfortunately, as itâs not a spell, it doesnât benefit from the % more spell damage per negative ailment on the target modifier from the spoon. Iâm slightly confused as to why you have Chaos Bolts as phys though since it wonât apply Damned so youâll have less of an easy time keeping the Damned Overload up (compared to having it as necrotic/fire). Since you have a specâd Rip Blood, you might as well take 4 points in Crimson Favours to cast Rip blood for you when you have Bleed Overload. Iâd also totally go for Duskbringer as well for more boss DPS.
I did spec out of physical chaos bolts for a while but I had a bit of trouble getting bleed overload going that way damned seems to proc without any effort with this setup wand or not. I think that is bc I have a 100% chance to apply damned on all necrotic hits torment and plague
But I was thinking of spec ing into Crimson Favours or getting rid of bleed over load all together and focusing on necrotic damage but the reason i did not do that is bc I think the spoon is âbetterâ and damned does not increase choas bolt damage unless I am missing something and it does
If Witchfire does most of your damage then the wand will be better DPS but youâll loose the ailment procs from it & frailty is a nice defensive ailment.
If you specâd out of phys chaos bolts you could also spec out of the hit damage node as well to get more damned or ignite chance, or if mana isnt an issue, an extra projectile or two.
Part of that will be the wand giving you stacks of Damned.
Thereâs a chest/helm prefix (shared bleed chance) & you can get it on idols and the Gushing Wound node in Rip Blood. Or you could just get it from the Laceration node in Spirit Plague which you already have, that should be sufficient given youâre using Chaos Bolts.
