Obvious ways to make this a better game

  1. To address performance inconsistencies, add DLSS and or FSR and be done with it.

  2. My rogue is at a point where Im killing thousands of mobs and picking up almost nothing because all she needs is some really specific stuff. It would be nice if I was still gaining some sort of xp at lvl 100 - it would be cool to see some sort of “paragon board” where we can add little stats even if they are small, just to keep player engagement up.

  3. Let us freely switch between blessings once we have discovered them. Its not fun to re-grind one if I find a new piece of gear that would work if I could switch up my blessings. The grind can still be to discover the good rolls on them - so meet us in the middle.

  4. Fast track the trading/item discovery system because the game needs it more than some things I have heard are currently being worked on. This is a cornerstone feature so I hope we see it soon.

Have you read the trade announcement thread?

This has been brought up before and I believe the devs are considering some things but I’m not sure what that will be.

This has also been brought up multiple times. Not sure what the devs’ response to it is.

The devs have already commented on this particular suggestion. Unfortunately the version of Unity that LE is currently using (2019.4 LTS) doesnt support this and Mike (senior dev) has said that while they would like to update to a newer edition that does support DLSS and FSR, it would delay the game by close to a year (this was his estimate a while back). He said its a consideration for a future version but “impossible” right now due to the negative impact further delay would cause.

Yeah, this one has been discussed before and most would agree that it needs some improvements on similar lines.

The ability to switch Blessings freely has a lot of downsides in relation to ‘hot swapping’ Blessings for different types of content. I think being able to switch to previously acquired Blessings for a cost that disincentivizes hot swapping but is easier than refarming the Blessing would be a good compromise.

I think the best option being that when you clear the mono, all your “discovered” blessings (at their highest discovered %) are available for selection.

I’d go along with this idea. Prevents the hotswapping issue by restricting when you can change a blessing and doesnt affect the need to farm for higher quality blessings so its a win win in my opinion. :+1:

Yep that works too.

I also want this, but I fear it will just fall into the same slippery slope.

I want this with limitations. It is character specific, not account wide.

I can pretty confidently predict that almost immediately on this becoming a thing, there would be threads of people complaining it isn’t account wide. Then there would be complaints that the RNG roll ranges exist and people want deterministic increases in blessing power or just straight up max value without a range.

Well yeah, but that’s a risk with anything. As it stands now, you have to re-farm what you’ve already farmed. Imagine if every time you removed a piece of equipment, it was destroyed, and you had to re-farm it, or recraft it. That’s basically the existing system with blessings.

And then voluntarily discarded. Imagine whenever you discarded a piece of gear (vendored, shattered, whatever) you could re-equip it.

And yet, there it is… showing in my “Blessing Inventory”. Odd, that…

I think of that as a “this is what you’ve had before but decided to throw away” screen, not an inventory since you can’t use any of the items in it (and they are apparently coded like items, which is a bit odd but there you go).

But what’s the point, then? If they game just wants to kick you in the teeth on the upteenth re-farm, just so you can look back and say “I HAD THAT DAMN BLESSING, WITH MAX MOD EVEN”, then at least give it a sadistic cackle sound effect when you open the Blessing Inventory UI. It shouldn’t spare our feelings…

I’d be down for that.

If the roll is less than max roll, the blessing window should offer Delete Character button

there is no logic in your argument. We dont discard good gears for trying others, we just put it in inventory and when we want that gear back we still use it.

I think we do need some improvement in the current system, its way too punishing trading blessings we already have farmed. And I agree it should be character locked. Each character in a same account have to farm its blessings.

No, that’s just where the metaphor breaks down.

No, it really doesn’t. Just because you can’t see the similarities, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. You voluntarily remove, and swap, pieces of gear. But they don’t oddly vanish from your inventory as if you never owned them. I will agree, that there is no “Previously Worn Equipment” window, that you can browse, to see all the other gear you have discovered and/or worn over the course of the character’s existence. Because, what would be the point in that? Just like a blessings window, that has previously discovered blessings… that have no impact on anything, whatsoever.

But you know, there is a buyback window in the shop. Where you can see equipment you voluntarily sold to the merchant, that you have the option to re-purchase. So strange.
