Path of exile is fuking up hard from a technical and political standpoint.
Iam playing if from early alpha and loved it until now.
to me it seems they go the warframe route. ruined/hatefull community. streamers where you feel they only do this for the money… the forced on grind for nerfed rewards is crazy.
i have 60 players in my poe guild, and we will definately join you all when multiplayer goes live in a stable manner, but if you want to catch disilusioned players, that just lost theyr home. NOW is the time to garner long lasting citicens for your awesome universe!
Hi, so I think you are already relying too much on a personal feeling, even if it is not totally wrong, it is not totally true. POE still has a great community and many will remain loyal no matter what.
Afterwards I’m afraid of making a mistake (I read thanks to a translation and sometimes it’s fucked up) But seems to be talking about having a free weekend for LE. I don’t think that’s a bad idea because there is nothing bad about showing off the game, but it is still accessible and especially why now? I think there is a better time (Christmas, or when a new patch came out) To do a discovery weekend on a patch that is about to end is not the best idea.
After nothing prevents anyone from buying the game either, which remains at a very affordable price, and even without a multi, you get your money’s worth.
Regarding precisely this famous multi, it will be released when it is ready, we all hope as soon as possible, but not just anyhow.
In conclusion I think that waiting for the multi to play the game is a real shame, there is already plenty to discover and even if you can’t play together, nothing prevents people from finding this on a vocal to live the adventure together. So if you and your friends want to stop POE or change a bit, not having to wait for the multi, there is already a community in the game, and you can very well speak on a vocal.
Forgive me if I understood my once again not easy with translators.
PS; With delay I just saw that you already own the game and that you have even supported financially, sometimes I have to open my eyes. But for your friends the message remains the same why are you waiting for the multiplayer, you yourself know very well what the game offers tells them to come right now ^^
i feel you. its not all doom for PoE just now.
But it feels exactly like warframe. and that went downhill badly over the years. The only guys playing are new ones and content creators. all the old folks, that supported and loved the game from the early beta (like me) are just gone. its a different game and experience now.
I really hope poe can stay true to its nature, but the signs are telling me otherwise.
Empyrian (one of the biggest and most influential PoE streamers) got banned in PoE for 3 months and started to play LE a couple of days ago. His first LE stream had like 27k views and I recon lots of his viewers would try out LE if it had a free weekend. I’m sure lots of them would purchase it after they tried it.
(I hope Empy sticks around for at least a couple of weeks because he has a really good eye to spot broken shit in games.)
Well here is something that does not give me consideration. So leave the POE streamers to POE and all those buddies over there. Personally, I don’t want this game to become POE twice, with these streamers who have full control over the game. There are already too many POE players on LE, it’s only done on the in-game chat to talk about POE. So on the contrary stream in seen, doubled the price the time it returns on its games.
You can love or hate PoE it’s still one of the best ARPG out there so it is natural that people are comparing LE to PoE just like every MMORPG is compared to WoW. Lots of people are getting sick of PoE and crave for a new game to invest time and money in.
The harsh reality is that people tend to follow influencers when they choose a game and the big PoE streamers have quite a big group of followers. If a big PoE streamer says Last Epoch is a game worth playing then lots of people will eventually buy it. The more people buy the game the more budget EHG will have to polish this gem.
I’ve watched Empy’s LE streams on and off and he seems to like the game very much so far which means he will continue to stream it for a while. That’s huge exposure for the game.
Guess when was LE’s all-time peak of 7.2k concurrent players. On the 28th of March, a day after Zizaran, probably the most known PoE streamer designed a unique in Last Epoch. It was even marketed on the Last Epoch website because the devs know getting PoE streamers to play and stream the game has a huge impact.
I do not question their impact, quite the contrary. It is already a long topic of discussion on POE, es that it is streamer would not have too much impact precisely. So it’s like everything, you can use their influence to sell more games. But there will be a price to pay for it, will have to “grease the dough” as we say here. He will have a lot of advantage, of straight pass … Because at the end 80% of your community will follow him everywhere we go, so if you don’t brush him in the direction of the hair, he will leave with your whole community . So personally I prefer a small community but who sincerely love the game, than a bunch of sheep, who will follow their streamer to death.
Afterwards, I’m not against the guy in question, it’s just logic and sales. He only does what he pleases, the problem is not the streamer but his stupid community who follow him blindly. If you say this guy quit POE everyone will come. This kind of public does not interest, the day he leaves LE, he will leave too. At this point the sa could kill the game.
