Right now I’m loving the new Storm Bolt changes to Shaman as it applies to Tornado casting them via lightning side of the tree. However, it seems there was an oversight in the range in which Storm Bolt casts.
Presently, with 4/4 range node, tested on a boss with a set spawn:
- The cast range of my tornadoes (at the outer most edge of my top right or left corner), the tornadoes themselves have 50% increased range from there, in a radius all around them.

In essence, if I cast tornadoes behind my direction of travel, the storms will kill everything infront of me before it reaches me as they’re already getting hit before I see them. If I cast tornadoes to the edge of my screen in the direction of travel, I just play a looting simulator.
In arenas, I just stay in the middle and spam tornado ontop of myself, everything begins getting hit immediately upon spawning. Until the arena difficulty gets to the point of mobs surviving long enough to reach me, I don’t see enemies at all.
I’m enjoying it for now as I’m not really breaking dmg numbers or anything (still can’t progress farther corruption because this doesn’t so much affect timeline boss encounters). But I don’t think this was meant to be, it trivializes things a bit.
