Not quite sure where to put Tunklab note

Tunklab has unique or set pieces for Ending the Storm as gloves but so far all I have found are weapons…? The second one was a level 6 Humming Bee which really let me down and the first one was Battlemage’s Endeavor, a level 46 two handed sword.

I’m sorry but if you are doing level 70+ dungeons finding a level 6 weapon with level 6 stats really is a low blow, especially when the set and unique areas take hours to find. I have found those two in four hours of looking in Ending the Storm. Constant fighting, zone to zone with a rank s character and just tired of battling mobs so now I’m just blasting through the areas to get to the next. This is a bit nuts.

The specific unique or set echo rewards are pretty rare and their chance to spawn increases significantly with corruption and how deep you are in an individual echo web(far away from the starting point).

To the point, where you have a fairly high chance of not encountering a single one of those notes on normal until completing that timeline once.

Once you enter empowered they start spawning fairly regularly, because you already start at 100 corruption.

Ahhhhh, thank you very much for that information

So I know this is a novice question but how do you build corruption… beating Orrobys and that’s it? Basically resetting the timeline over and over? and if that is the case, does resetting the timeline (ie fighting him get harder each time (ie does the fight change each time?))

Yes mate. That’s the only way of increasing corruption. The further out from the starting point you go, the higher the increase you are offered with each node. Also, the higher your corruption gets, the more that the closest nodes will then start to offer you a reduction in corruption.

As far as the fight itself, yes it does get harder each time as he gets stronger each time. The mechanics of the fight doesn’t change, but there are a ton of different scenarios for that fight in the first place. Some are easier then others. Some will make you want to facepalm

The good thing is that the mechanics change each time you spawn him, so even if you have a particularly bad fight, the next one will be different.

Increasing corruption over 200 in the last 3 monos is quite a lengthy process, so I find it helps to set yourself a side quest/goal, like a specific filtered drop to grind for, doing some crafting to pass some time, etc etc. The drops also get better the higher the corruption gets, plus you’ll find you grind out more crafting materials than you’ll probably ever use.

Hope all this helps

So what @Maelstromicus already said is true, except he did one mistake, which is very important, especially for learning that fight.

Each “Shade Of Orobyss” Node spawned in an echo web will be and stay the same, even if you teleport out or die and re-enter it.
If you die, you will lose the Timelinestability gain on that particular node on completion, but the corruption will stay.

But again, the fight itself will be the exact same.

Shade in itself is pretty complex and he has 30 different abilities in total, of which he always received a fixed amount, based on his type and arandom pool of other void abilities.

If you wanna learn more in detail, I actually do have a video about it.

So again: Each Shade Of Orobyss Node has a different randomized skill set, but the same node always stay the same, so if you fail a fight, you can re-enter and learn it again.
This is super usefull, because you can really dive in and learn the fight.
But if you feel like you cannot progress the fight, you can jsut leave it be and try another Shade Of Orobyss, this is also usefull for hardcore, if you see what he does and you feel like you don’t wanna do it, just teleport out.
When you pull the Shade you can already see what type it is and maybe if you have a particular resistance missing or oyu feel uncomfortable iwth a specific skill, just teleport out.

The chance of spawning Shades becoems higher and higher the deeper you go within an echo web and the corruption a Shade gives you will increase.
It is possible to reach Shades that give up to ~20/21 Corruption, but that is very very rare, because most of the time all branches we be blocked before that.

Usually oyu can get to ~15 corruption gain pretty easily, without any major de-tours.

Thanks for clarifying that and correcting my error @Heavy

Thanks folks very much for the clarification. I just fought Orobys for the second time and beat him hands down no problem. We’ll see how things progress lol.
