Non-human for new classes

Hello,

It is nice that Last Epoch has a variety of humanoids in its bestiary. However, the non-humans are almost exclusively used as opponents (and a couple of friendly/neutral NPCs here or there).
It would be cool if some of the future character main classes that are created in the future were non-human, and I believe it would help with class identity.

For example (and just as an example), a rogue Osprix could go for Str/Dex builds. As elements, it would have fire, physical, and maybe as the third one lightning. Its main mobility skill could be it taking its flight then landing with fire damage.
Make it mostly short-ranged, with a short-range slow but hard-hitting caster build, a tanky build that can either go melee or throwing, and a highly mobile build.

With how people whine about classes being gender-locked, I can’t imagine the level of shitshow that non-human characters would spark.

Non-human is not a class, it’s a race. As can be seen in D&D, elves, dwarves, ogres, etc, are all non-humans and they have the same class choice as humans do.
What you’re asking isn’t actually a class but rather a race choice, or new models. Something like selecting your mastery gives you some bonuses, maybe choosing a different race would as well.

I expect this would be quite hard to implement, though, and especially to balance.

Hard pass.
