New Stash Tab system. Farming for stash tabs

Even just a cap on stash tab price would be nice. I never have more gold than the next tab costs, and Lightless Arbor effectively doesn’t exist for me.

exactly. Definitely would love to see a more linear progress for inventory space. i dont see why “exponential” increase is necessary for an ARPG.

It drags things out. Every arpg does it, with xp and gear progression if nothing else.

The price needs to increase somewhat to account for the increasing amounts of gold you get as you progress. It isn’t really exponential, as if the price didn’t increase, you would be able to pick up stash tabs at an accelerating rate. I just think it should cap at some point rather than continuing to increase past a point.

How would this be any different then farming gold to buy a stash tab? Either way you’re having to farm something?

yes, i do agree with this since starting the game and when you reach monolith have a big difference. thats why i suggest just an “item” that gives you stash tabs that can drop from mobs or quest etc.

The difference is now I am farming for items, but i cant keep my items because i got not enough gold to buy more stash tabs. So now it becomes an inventory management game where i am throwing away 90%+ of my exalted and uniques. Its whatever, some ppl seem to like it, some dont really care, for me it just not fun. I like accumulating stuff. I like hoarding. Almost feel pointless if i cant keep the loot.

Also, it opens up lightless abhor more. I dont do lightless abhor because i literally just never have gold since i spend it all on stash tabs.

Then lets say they put a cap on gold cost.

Did you know, there is actually a stash limit?

its something bonkers like 200+ tabs, but eventually even if you have the money the game does not let you buy any more tabs. probably to prevent servers exploding from having to manage everyone having 10000+ tabs in the baseline standard.

Every online game and even many offline games are going to limit your space potential to prevent you from breaking your own data by having too much shit for the game to load because you decided to hoard 1000+ tabs of junk.

like others have said, you are creating for yourself a very extreme problem, you just need to simply not hoard as much stuff. I have 2k hours and played like 1800 of that in offline and have maybe 50-60 tabs, and a lot of the items need to be culled cause they are just exalted I picked up because I like you didnt yet get to the point of learning what is bad and what is good. 99% chance you dont need that poison chance mace or the probably 15 of them you picked up.

The question is: And then what?
Even if the system changed and you suddenly had twice your storage space, you would quickly fill it up and the “problem” would start again. And as pointed by Dicedragon, the storage cannot be infinite. Physical storage space on servers is itself not infinite.

As anybody who has a garage or a basement knows only too well, it is pretty much human nature to pile up useless things “just in case”. We adapt to the space we have, and fill it up, no matter how small or big that space is.

For the suggestion itself, I wouldn’t mind linear progression. It kinda makes sense game-wise. But it would have to be to reach the same amount of tabs, not a vastly bigger number.

i dont even have 100 tabs yet. its linear progression with hours played, it will be really hard to break your data. you are not going to expect hundreds of thousand of ppl playing 10k hours+ etc.

And if that is a a real problem, then just let me do it offline. then i wont cost them any data space. I doubt i will be breaking my own data.

Whether to have a cap or where the cap should be worth considering, but i am no where near the cap though and its already choking my game play.

And i already acknowledge that i could throw a decent stuff away. I just dont think that is fun nor do i want to do it now. I rather just play something else. And that is fine too. Just my opinion. We dont have to agree on that.
