New Season is Irrelevant when the Game was Never Finished

In another thread where we discuss why isn’t anyone streaming LE and it was brought up that LE took to long between seasons but I don’t think that was ever a problem. The problem is much bigger than that.

The issue with Last Epoch has never been releasing a new cycle. The issue was they never made a “COMPLETE GAME”. Full stop.

Instead of completing the game, they rushed to add in a plethora of player feedback systems and content. Mistake. They spent time on WASD, Dodge roll and then cycles instead of just COMPLETING THE GAME!!

EHG needed to finish the game and nail down what Last Epoch was in the ARPG genre. They needed to work on Classes, Campaign, Dungeons, Bosses. You know the core game.

Sadly I don’t see a way for EHG to fix Last Epoch as now they skipped making the game and have added a mishmosh of other ARPGs season after season losing Last Epoch’s identity because (it never really established one) and creating horrible gameplay, bugs and game critical issues.

Last Epoch was fun, I enjoyed my time playing Early access into season 1. Just really wish they finished the game and created the special game LE could of been. Classes and passive trees are still a mess, bugs are worse than early access, dungeons haven’t been fixed or touched. (but they added poe mechanics? sigh, we can dodge roll and have WASD, who cares.)

EHG is a case of listening too much to the players and ruining the game and losing vision on what they were creating. Now no one plays, the players that asked for these features and systems were temporary but the consequences are permanent.

I say all this as someone who isn’t mad or being critical, just disappointed this is where we ended up. Now I don’t have a game to play, enjoy and love. Because I did love LE, key word, did.

I just don’t see anything on the horizon for LE that I can be excited about because lets be real who cares about the next season when the game is lost. EHG should just work on finishing the game, fixing the bugs, updating and completing classes. Reworking Dungeons and Arena. Work on the core game, it’s story, lore, gameplay. Bosses.

It doesn’t matter what they add next Season if there isn’t a core game to add it onto. Just adding in more systems or content without fixing the existing content or completing the game seems foolish at best.

LE should of never tried to compete with other ARPGs and throw away it’s identity and listen to the vocal minority. Hindsight is 20/20 though and I’m sure the Devs would love to go back in time and do many things differently but that’s what happens with a company that doesn’t have experience and is funded by players. You make mistakes, listen to the wrong people and lose your vision before it ever really took hold.

People will come back when EHG makes a stern resolution to finish the game and get back to core values and design that screams I want to play LE because I can’t get this in another ARPG.

If I want to corrupt an item, I’m going to keep enjoying PoE 2. If I want WASD and Dodge roll again going to play PoE 2. I’m thankful that GGG has created such an awesome game I can enjoy while LE has fallen. PoE 2 was designed with these systems and design in mind as a core, while LE tried to copy them as an afterthought. That never works.

OH well. We had a good ride. I got 2,200 hours out of LE and at least 1,500 of those hours were enjoyable in the old game. I’m sure LE will get new players and bring old ones back when they try create a great “complete” game instead of thinking about the next season and systems.

Edit - If I were EHG, I’d remove content/systems, remove seasonal junk they added. remove goblins, remove corruption. It didn’t work and was mediocre after thought content added that lacks soul and identity. (If dodge roll or WASD is causing any back end issues, remove it.) Was never needed in the first place. Make LE and nail down the core game, remove the systems taken from other APGS but done worse. EHG should complete the game.

That’s not what your wall of text feels like.

So you want them to listen to you instead?

I understand your frustrations, and 2000+ hours is a lot of time playing this game. It’s OK to take a break from Last Epoch and come back later, after they have released Season 5 and particularly the “LEO” expansion. I’m sure in time, you will enjoy Last Epoch again.

Everything EHG adds to Last Epoch in seasons is core content and it stays in the game, that is the same thing PoE2 is doing, and their game isn’t finished either.

EHG is not Blizzard or GGG and we can’t expect them to pump out content as fast as those other two Juggernauts.

I play D4, PoE2 and Last Epoch and “Last Epoch” is my favorite. I just hope EHG is picking up some of the game developer talent that is being laid off all over the place from other studios. EHG just needs to keep working hard and hire as many quality people as it takes to bring their vision to life so we can continue to play the game we are all so passionate about.

You say that, but EHG has over a hundred employees now, that’s not small. And they’ve been doing LE for a good 5-10 years now shouldn’t they be better at it by now? Improvement in doing a thing isn’t purely linear, it plateau after a while, so GGG & Blizz being a decade or two older than EHG, I’m not sure it’s (or should be) as big a difference as you think.

I know I disagree with Abom quite a lot over most things, but I definitely agree with him on the disappointment.

I was under the impression that GGG has over 200+ employees, much larger than EHG, but yes, its hard to understand why EHG takes much longer to get content out, and I am frustrated with that as well.

Yes EHG needs to finish the game (campaign), just to shut up such ridiculous posts.

Everything else is being worked on continously already in parallel. E.g. we get a couple of new skills for the classes that were still “missing” them each season.

If EHG didn’t pursue the service model and focused on endgame (a decision they had communicated very early on btw.), LE would have ended up like “Dragonkin: The Banished”, basically dead shortly after launch with a player peak of max. 10’000. Instead we get many many players that have spent thousands of hours in the game and it is still being developed and updated to this day.

You’re very adamant that features like WASD and Dodge roll are the source of all problems. In my opinion they contributed to the game still being relevant today.

Many players would never even look at an ARPG anymore if it didn’t offer WASD key-scheme. Thanksfully Grim Dawn gets it finally in a couple of days, it’s one of the most requested feature for PoE1, etc.

There is no need to assume, I stated how I feel. Which is disappointment in the direction of the game since launch.

I wish they listened to themselves. I wish they didn’t make promises they could never keep. If they listened to themselves we would of never got rid of community testing program or added in features from the vocal minority that was only here temporarily.

Why come back? Every season it’s the same, play for a week and leave due to game breaking bugs, game crashes, half cooked ideas ontop of half cooked ideas.

A new season and new content isn’t a reason to come back if nothing is really fixed or worked on.

I actually don’t want new content, I want a better game with clear design that makes LE have it’s own niche in the ARPG genre (which it did in early access). I actually think they should remove most of the seasonal content they added.

To be clear the game was better in early access. The game had less bugs in early access. Since launch the game has gone backwards by adding in so many systems (half cooked systems) that have made a bugged mess and now LE isn’t LE anymore and it’s a mishmosh of other ARPGs.

Again LE should of stayed true to LE and not incorporated systems and design from other APRGs moving away from the original game they were working on. Again if I want to do breach or corrupt an item I’ll play PoE 2.

  • Why play Last Epoch?

Lets look at the facts. Since launch the game has hemorrhaged players. People that loved and supported this game in early access and launch don’t play the new seasons. They aren’t coming back. The next season isn’t going to bring them back.

Wrong an ARPG doesn’t need WASD or Dodge roll to be relevant and spending tremendous resources on adding them (AFTER THE FACT) created a ton of problems because again the game was never designed with these features in mind. This was a bad decision and they should of focused on making a great game.

Hilariously wrong. WASD doesn’t matter even in the slightest especially if the game is designed great without it. The game just needs to be fun and well designed. WASD doesn’t make the game fun, it isn’t a feature required for the game to be good or fun. So you aren’t making a point.

Adding more onto something that doesn’t have a good foundation is what you got with LE a game not really worth playing anymore and has no identity or niche in the genre.

  • LE has 856 players playing right now. WASD and Dodge roll really brought people in, goblins really keeping players attention, the PoE breach systems and corruption really got players coming back for more huh??

The point of my post is, next season will have even less players come back. Since having a new season obviously isn’t going to bring the players back when there is so much wrong with the core game and the direction of the game. So there is no reason to come back.

It is a reasonable one.
If you think it’s ridiculous you’re delusional by now. Everything points against it.

Continuous work is shoddy beyond end, old systems haven’t been fixed as the game would need, reworks are half-assed messes still which fail to achieve the goal and new systems are for the timeframe needed underperforming.

Also ‘dead after launch’ for a SP game is fine. Games outside of the live-service model are not expected to be played permanently. Play it, be content, leave for the next. Some exceptions apply. At every update those numbers would’ve risen again, skins providing a extra income basis and new shelf-price sales being the core for keeping the company running without issues.
A peak of 10k for a SP game is fine since there are no outrageous running costs.
A peak 10k for a live-service with 100 employees is a death-sentence.

WASD and Dodge Roll are interesting, but plainly spoken he’s right… they’re great to have but ultimately low-priority compared to the cohesiveness of the core game.
Yes, it’s an accessibility option which broadens the audience.
EHG won’t stay afloat even with doing that though, they don’t need to broaden the audience, they need to have better individual return-rate, because the return rate of players is atrocious.

Agreed, that was one of the absolute dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen in the gaming space.

In 0.8 it had the best state. 0.9 completely demolished the progression system entirely and it has never been fixed, yes. Also the bugs, agreed.

I guess they do, then, because they didn’t get rid of the CT. They removed streamers/content creators from it. It still exists.

Likewise as above. In fact, you should know this. Abomb might not lurk the forums but you do, and this has come up repeatedly already.

The CT for content creators being blocked is absolutely one of the dumbest decisions, and I’ll stand by that.

First off… early access for the community to allow preparation before a cycle starts is a baseline for the genre. So alone by that metric it’s detrimental, not a positive.

Secondly, there are Non-disclosure contracts for that reason existing. People already are not allowed to disclose the things provided during CT. That’s breaking a ND and should have a lawsuit following accordingly. They solely remove you and ban you… which is nonsensical action. This is at the level of damage to the business.

Third. It is a discriminatory. Access to CT is barred for large-scale content creators and build creators specifically. It is not barred to someone who has their ‘4 people audience’. It punishes being successful.

Fourth. Access to Day 1 (when the ND ends) build guides and content guides is a significant accessibility aspect for more casual players, allowing them to engage with new builds and content without stumbling in the dark and having to learn the basics of build-creation on their own before being able to interact.

Who exactly has an upside from it? Only those which don’t want to be spoiled… and if you don’t wanna be spoiled then don’t friggin open up the content which can spoil you. It’s a measure of protecting those which are too incapable to ensure their own enjoyment upholds. This is ‘detrimental idiot proofing’ as it causes downsides for everyone which has no need for the idiot proofing in the first place. They’re actively having less because some nitwits are incompetent.

I have no idea what you mean by this. Blizzard are the only ones that have a PTR. And it’s not like it’s working out for them anyway.

No one broke NDA (that I’m aware of).

That’s not what the players said, though. They were complaining about the day 1 guides and videos because it ruined the fun/surprise. The game was solved too fast.

Kinda hard to do in the days of social media. You scroll on youtube suggestions and keep seeing “Build A is super-broken”, “Build B is SSSSSSSSSS+++++”, along with plenty of videos where the thumnail alone kinda spoils things already.

You might have wanted to just see a video of a Katy Perry/Cannibal Corpse duet, but you’re exposed to spoilers constantly.

I don’t necessarily agree with this decision, but the point is that the CT wasn’t eliminated. The CT still exists. It’s just “people that do spoilers for a living” that were eliminated from it.

I also don’t see why you’re so against it. There are none on PoE either and they’re doing fine. Any day 1 guides you get are from content creators actually playing the game on day 1. Casuals seem to do fine there for guides.

Simple, GGG for example provides a ages long overview exactly a week before the release. That’s a full content release explaining it in-depth how it works.
The hype-week from EHG doesn’t hold a candle to it plainly spoken in how comprehensive it is.
Also the patch-notes are notoriously wonky because of significant bugs every single cycle, which simply don’t exist comparatively with GGG for example.
That’s simply a downside from what has become business standard over the last years from a top-tier monolith doing it right.

Also… if nobody broke NDA, what’s the issue?

Nono… not ‘the players’ complained. Some morons complained which are so incompetent to not click on that button. It’s like finding a Youtube video stating ‘the story of xyz’ for whatever thing out there… be it a book, a movie… and then clicking on it and complaining ‘but it spoiled me!’.
It’s the height of idiocy plainly spoken, I cannot name it differently. All the power lies in their hands to be or not be spoiled and they did spoil themselves… then demanding that they’re ‘saved from themselves’.
This is also substantially different from using or not using mechanics inside a game and hence being enforced to go through ‘optimal routes’ to have a relevant experience being even possible. Spoilers don’t cause those issues.

And yeah, if you search for content of a specific kind then you’ll get… well… content of a specific kind.
So don’t search for it during the timeframe where it becomes relevant. If you flood your own page with it then you yourself are at fault. It’s avoidable, it’s third party, it’s hence your full responsibility.

And yes, GGG doesn’t have public testing, but EHG does and hence I expect them to do it right. There’s 2 options: Managing it with internal testing only like GGG does. Or being a properly behaving company with all the parts needed.

Also the major complaints on Reddit as a backlash after the CT related Day 1 content wasn’t coming up anymore was from casuals, not from long-term players. Here in the Forum you basically don’t see anything of it in comparison since barely any player interacts with things here with how absolutely shoddy it’s handled in the first place.

It’s hemorrahging players, but there are at least still players and us discussing the game in this forum. Season 2 got them half of them back even. If instead they “finished” it, we would have had the 3 last campaign chapters already, a few more skills earlier and EHG would not exist at this point. Noone buys skin for a single-player / coop game either. Best example is Dragonkin as I mentioned earlier. A peak of 10k doesn’t pay any continued development. Same fate as TQ2 will likely have. It will be a great game don’t get me wrong, but will not gain the same traction.

The title and premise of this topic is “New Season is Irrelevant when the Game was never finished”. However it is much rather: “The finished Game would already be irrelevant if it didn’t have seasonal content”.

What “tremendous resouces”? Even the overlap of developers that work on this coding, ui, character animation etc. versus to concept art, map design and the like to finish the campaign and skill creation is minimal. What ton of problems.

No, it’s not WASD or Dodge Roll that largly occupied EHG. It was adding all the endgame systems such as Nemesis, Harbingers, Cemeteries, WT, Rift Beast, Omen and so on. I take those every day over 3 more campaign chapters, working dungeons and arena.

It all boils down to their pre-launch decision to go service-life game and therefore adding true multiplayer, the monolith as the enggame system plus MG and CoF.

Be aware that EHG already thinks that class balance and skill/passive-trees are good enough as they are currently. There’s no telling if it would be any better if they had gone a different route.

There isn’t though. Under 1,000 players isn’t still having players. Over 99% of the players are gone. Most of them never coming back. This game isn’t getting new players or bringing back the old ones. LE has problems on all fronts from retention, marketing and overall negative sentiment from the gaming community as a whole.

A new season won’t address any of this simply put. You know it, I know it, the over 99% of people that quit this game know it.

I think you are missing the point. Which is this game has massive issues, it’s direction has been bad since launch and that is why EHG was bought out by a not so good company that has a bad track record (which also has driven players away)

EHG needs a positive press tour but there has been nothing really but silence because lets face it there isn’t much to talk about. Last season was a flop (this is a fact) it was unplayable for many due to game breaking bugs and crashes.

This game just isn’t finish and has no polish. Adding in new seasonal content ontop of old bad seasonal content and a half cooked game with no clear direction isn’t going to attract players. It isn’t!

The ARPG genre is also very competitive and lets be honest, everyone is enjoying other ARPGs right now instead of LE. There are just way better games out there to play then LE and LE isn’t doing anything unique. They are just trying to copy what others are doing in the genre and doing a worse job at it recently instead of creating something special.

These critiques I’m making are fair and objective and the abysmal player base backs it up.

They aren’t. They are old and mostly outdated. Classes are half cooked and what’s worse is adding in all these new systems, and items that contradict these outdated passives and class design. It just feels bad.

Adding in Dodge and WASD when the original game was never intended to have these features is a massive undertaking and required tremendous resources. You have to change everything. It wasn’t worth it and it didn’t keep players around because the game isn’t that good right now. If the game was good people would be playing it, streaming it, word of mouth would be you gotta check out LE. That isn’t happening.

Ignoring the current reality that this game is closer than you think to ending completely and Krafton won’t save it. In fact if LE doesn’t get players Krafton will do what they need to to get their investment back and close down this project that is called LE.

  • Why play LE? Why come back next season if we have the same problems?

Also PoE 2 is killing it right now. There are other games to play, great games. The fact is LE lost the fight for players time and they marketed poorly and made wrong decisions. So here we are and yes I’m discussing the game on the forums but I’m not playing LE. I haven’t played LE since April after I quit that unplayable season they put out.

I just hope that they decide to fix the game, actually build and design the core game and finish it at some point. Gut out the bad and create something special. If they do maybe people will come back. However most people have already forgotten about this game or written it off. Will take a miracle to bring this game back from it’s current state.

No they don’t. Public testing means anyone can test. That’s what Blizzard does and we have yet to see any actual positives from it.

Community testing means they select some players to test. It’s basically a job where your pay is getting access to the new stuff before everyone else. And like with any job, there are requirements. One of them is no content creators/streamers.

In fact, this seems to be the norm in the industry. EHG was one of the very few that didn’t impose those restrictions, since most others do.

CT… just used the wrong term. That’s all.

Everything else still isn’t upholding.
TL:I for example has a CBT (closed beta tests) before their league releases. Standard NDA, no exclusion of specific individuals. Hence the big streamers have the ability to release videos Day 1 of the league drop and create guides for Day 1 of the league drop.
Why isn’t it a problem for them? Their game grows and grows, no complainers there for the exact same thing.

The only difference between TLI and LE with their pre-league testing is that LE actively denies entry for anyone with a public presence basically. They don’t stop the release of content Day 1, the NDA ends at Day 1 still. ‘Unknown Bob’ can still be a CT tester… write down 10 builds… make 5 guide videos for Youtube and release it Day 1. Likely will be barred from CT going forward… but you absolutely can do it and it even is done without repercussion. The task from EHG was only to hinder it, not to remove it entirely. I personally see the whole train of thought behind it as pure moronic action as it’s highly detrimental.
Do you know who can’t do it though? People like ‘Lizard_IRL’ which works for Maxroll, ‘Perrythepig’, ‘Boardman21’… these individuals are barred from CT. It is simply a shit-show. And plainly spoken discriminatory. All it does is allowing no-names to provide the same content if they so decide to do and punishing the people actually working for the community trying to provide comprehensive work.

It’s an apalling state and one of the biggest negatives towards EHG I personally see existing.
Not only are those individuals among the most experienced people which can provide hence the biggest amount of feedback for the company… which are hence not doing it, substantially reducing the efficiency per person for the CT and increasing workload significantly. Nono… it also is plain and simple discrimination.
And since I don’t know the new wording of the NDA specifically… if - and only if - the CT NDA specifically states a timeframe of where you’re not allowed to stream at all or provide respective content related to the game at all after the release time-wise… then I recommend every single individual taking part in the CT to never ever do it again for awful business practices alone.

It’s not the norm. Most businesses don’t have a testing program at all in that regard when having a live-service. But those that do absolutely allow decent handling. EHG is the outlier here.

Doesn’t matter, it’s a live-service game.

A live-service needs a solid number, not a decreasing one. Depending on their business model and hence income.

EHG has a really shoddy business model ongoing currently as they haven’t ever fleshed it out properly, so their numbers need to be higher then the competition to get the same results. This is not the case.

Also 10k does pay ongoing development, depends on the model as mentioned. For example GGG has a low-cap of ~30k people returning to sustain their company currently if we go from the increase in server costs over the years as well as their increase in employees. 10k was even mentioned once, but that was years ago, with half the employess… but also only one game. So on a ‘per game’ basis hence GGG for example has still the same amount of employees, but costs rose significantly, so it raised from 10k to 30k.
That’s the amount of MTX, Supporter Packs and Kirac passes they sell.

Comparatively EHG bled money ever since post 1.0. The 70k returning players in 1.1 wasn’t enough. The long timeframe between 1.1 and 1.2 despite 150k players wasn’t enough. 80k in 1.3 wasn’t enough and 44k in 1.5 also wasn’t enough.
EHG’s business income because they made it so entirely and atrociously bad (and I can’t state it different… that’s simply the case or we wouldn’t have the situation) hence likely mandates around 60-80k players peak if they had (which they don’t) a similar release cycle as competition.
That means the chance that they earn half per player compared to the competition is likely.
This is a fundamental failure in business.

Also the comment of:
However it is much rather: “The finished Game would already be irrelevant if it didn’t have seasonal content”.

Is simply not upholding.
For example Grim Dawn works with ~50 employees, though the numbers are unknown. They have a SP game, same genre, constant playercount (which matters absolutely zero for them) and every time they release something people come back in masses because it’s ridiculously large and ridiculously good.
They need to pay 50 employees still, hence half the ‘company costs’ of EHG, their only difference is server-costs, which they don’t have.
So with half the costs for employees and without the absolutely horrendous thing that live-service as a model is they make a fantastic job in making absolutely hefty profits with being a ‘good guy company’ on top. Quality work, no shady business crap of any kind I know of (and I tend to search for that) and just doing their damn job properly as expected.
So good even they released another game besides Grim Dawn which is also doing really well. It’s a city builder game named ‘Farthest Frontier’, entirely different genre as well after all. So that studio just makes baseline good games hence. Simple as that.

EHG has a single game and they can’t get their shit together in any way, shape or form. It’s problems everywhere. Balance, unfinished, release pacing, stability and bugs.
As much as the potential of the game is there… the actual state of the game is not high quality at all for a company of their size. It’s shoddy plain and simple.

Nah, the PoE 1 league start peaks are in the region of 170k-200k for the past few leagues which is one or two higher than 30k.

Sadly. :frowning:

Are you alright? You failed to understand the meaning of what he said. He said a “low-cap”, meaning the minimum necessary to continue turning a profit.

Not sure if this has been answered yet but a quick google - When Path of Exile 1 officially launched its 1.0 version in October 2013, Grinding Gear Games was a relatively small studio with a core team of fewer than 25 people. Over the years, the team expanded significantly, growing to about 120 employees by 2018 and 260 staff members as of recent reports. [1, 2, 3]

Imagine launching a full game with less than 25 people and then you saying LE with 100+ shouldn’t be compared to it.

Months ago I was on these forums harping on about hope and dreams, giving them a chance and telling people not to compare it to POE1/2 but now I just login sometimes while taking a break from POE2 which is fkn amazing, ngl. Crafting in LE was one of my fav things before S4 and I hated it in POE2 - now it’s actually awesome and I craft and sell a shit ton of stuff and ironically the reason I stopped S4 so soon was a combo of crafting and nerfed imprints which contributed to the lack of crafting (which in LE is actually all luck based depending on forging point rolls, yuck)

The fact that I’ve been playing LE for 2400 hours and I got the game just over a year ago shows how hard I went when I found this game. I was a 10+ hours a day guy since I work for myself and only leave the house to gym so I really did love it, anyway in those hours all they’ve added to the “game” was 2 more chapters in a still uncomplete game as the post references. In terms of “content” they added hmmm let me see - a new boss which is just shade, the same boss but called him a new name. They added omens, corrupting, a few items, the beast stuff idol layouts etc - I actually like all the stuff theyve added and I’m pro choice taking mechanics from other games if its what the player bases wants (they should probably poll this and see which ones people like most and not just take one at a time because some were shit) so really whats happened in that 1.5 years? Bug fixes? Nope still got a lot of the same problems people encounter every single day - group chat bug, cant enter the dungeon twice in a row bug etc etc. I specifically didn’t mention new rogue skills added because they were obviously never tested just like how they admitted to not testing the nerfed imprints.

I went from pure love to absolute dead inside over LE.

There is a road back but right now I am not sure it’ll ever be completely travelled back.

They lack the ability to promote. They do not “reveal” properly which causes NO hype. They don’t communicate even though they’ve ackowledged they don’t do this and said they will. They do weekly streams which is just some guy playing the game in order to avoid the hard questions and cherry pick the easy ones. They drop mtx’s that 15 people are going to buy and they reveal items for a class that had 4% of people playing and even less of those 4% using that skill (there stats not mine)

If I was working at EHG as a dev/coder/anything to do with the game I would be very worried about my job because the outlook is bleak for something that could have been amazing.

I understand that Last Epoch has been a bumpy ride, but the ride is still going. For everything that has happened, I’m thankful that we can still play the game and have Season 5 and LEO to look forward to, at a minimum.

What I don’t understand is why the people who say Last Epoch is dead and that they don’t play it anymore continue to troll these forums and throw shade. I mean, why would you do that? It’s a waste of time. You could be playing other games or doing just about anything else. I think many of you actually care about this game and just need to vent some frustration.

I also wonder how much money some of you critics have actually given EHG. I’ve purchased all of the top-tier supporter packs, and even bought some for my friends, simply to support this game.

There are definitely parts of the game that need improvement. Dungeons, in particular, are extremely underwhelming, and the MTXs need to keep getting better, although I thought the Season 4 MTXs were a big step in the right direction.

Everything they’re working on right now sounds good to me. Chapter 10 was awesome, so I expect Chapters 11 and 12 will be just as good when LEO launches. We’re also getting skill sigils and a Paradox class, both of which sound pretty damn interesting to me. Last Epoch also has the best (free) stash system and arguably the best crafting system in the genre.

They’re adding more bosses, including some in Season 5, and Mike specifically said there are plans for multiple additional bosses before and after Aberroth and Uber Aberroth.

They’ll continue adding seasonal and permanent mechanics to the game, just as PoE2 does, while continuing to polish, optimize, and expand it.

I, for one, will be here waiting for the next release and playing the current game until I no longer enjoy it or simply need a break. I’m still having fun, and I genuinely hope EHG continues to grow and improve Last Epoch.
