New Runemaster player here - what item types should I use Rune of Ascendance on if I'm new to the game and don't know my end game build yet?

Pretty much just title - are there any preferable item types to use the RoA on if I want to cover my bases for several/most endgame builds?

If you don’t know what Uniques you’re going to need yet then I would save them, they are useful for target farming the item you’re looking for.
