Just something I would like, would it be best for the game, i don’t know but it would open up a lot of unique idears.
Sometimes there are really good unique effects but the rest of the stats are doo doo or there are other unique effects on that item that do not work with the build your playing.
I am suggesting a way to “fracture” uniques to apply the fractured shard to an exalted item.
Just as an example:
Taste of Blood
Implicit
+19 Melee Damage
+(13% to 19%) Chance to apply Bleed on Hit
Modifiers
+(20 to 30) Physical Melee Damage
15 Health Gain on Kill
+(50% to 75%) Chance to apply Bleed on Melee Hit
15% Increased Bleed Duration
When you hit a bleeding enemy with a melee attack all bleed stacks on that enemy double in speed
When a bleed stack’s speed is double its duration is halved and its damage per second is doubled
most of the effects on the weapon apply to “melee” but I do not use a “melee” ability to “apply” bleeds.
I’m a hammer throw bleed build which is throwing.
However I do have a melee ability : Lunge.
My thought was to stack as many Bleed stacks and lunge the target procing the double in speed effect.
However, with the base type and lack of modifiers on it for “MY” build it’s almost useless. ( unless I roll a 4lp ) as I would loose a ton of chance to bleed.
There are an abundance of unique drops in the game that are useless after we build up a stash full of higher LP items.
My suggestion is to add a rune that fractures the item.
New Rune : Rune of Simulacrum
We receive “one” of the modifiers on the item. So still a lot of RNG
We can then use the shard to apply to exalted gear of the same slot.
We just create our own Uniques.
AND
if you want to get really ambitious
let us slam it into a LP item.
Would there be broken items, sure
