Hello, new player here! I have 20 hours in Last Epoch now, and just want to post my first thoughts here.
My background: I have thousands of hours put into Path of Exile and a couple hundred into Diablo 3 and 2. I also play a few MMOs but mostly ARPGs.
Pros:
1: I love the character with class upgrade system, It keeps the game fresh with endless replays in my near future.
2: Skill tree for the actual skills feel impactful and play style is dramatically changed due to some of the options you have available.
3: Playstyle is very smooth, the skills feel easy and not clunky to use in most cases that I have tested.
4: Crafting system is awesome and very easy to use and seems rewarding enough.

Cons

I prefer right click as my movement skill! please make a way for me to bind my right click to move and left click to a skill, its not a necessity but just for ease of people who play games like this. I personally grew up playing league of legends (OmegaLUL) and its just a habit for me to move with right click now-a-days.

Performance seems interesting as far as gameplay is concerned. I know the game is still in early-access but the game stutters sometimes when too many things are on the screen and I’m almost positive that this is going to be continuously improved over time so I’m not too concerned about it.

Adding auto crafting material pickup? This is something I would really like to see as far as quality of life goes. I can however see the point of manually clicking things as this may be far too strong of a change. a suggestion would be to also make this range scale with gold pickup range. But if the game is intended for you to manually pickup the glyphs and such then this is ok.

Comparing ring slots. Simply said, I can’t seem to find a way to compare a ring to both ring slots without switching your right ring to your left ring which seems counter intuitive. This could be user error however, so correct me if there is a way!
Overall thoughts:
Even though I have a few cons, the game is in a great state and I can’t wait for multiplayer to play with some friends. This might become my new home and that feels good considering I’ve been playing Path of Exile for the last 4 years. I probably won’t play Epoch on Path of Exile league launch week, but if I’m not a fan of the current league or burnout, this is definitely where I’m coming. In the following weeks I will try to make new posts if I find something else for improvement, but overall, EXCELLENT game and I can’t wait for more updates!
