When playing an offline character, new items in the inventory have a brighter highlight around them to show they are new. When mousing over them or sorting inventory, the highlight disappears.
However, with online characters, there is no highlight on new items in the inventory. This makes viewing all the newer items very difficult, esp. if it is a ring or amulet that fills a small slot in the midst of a bunch of older items.
