still trying a week later and I actually made it past the first phase but still get whacked by the tri-beam in the next few phases. It moves too fast and 1 shot dmg which is terrible. It’s not fun getting the boss to 25% and then dying over and over and over and over and over and over simply because you are unable to run in a circle to avoid 3 beams spinning in a circle. Quite frustrating for us older people who do not have fine mouse control and do not have gaming controllers. This one mechanic while simple for some is impossible if you do not have good mouse control and so this is as far as I can get in the game (shitty feeling really).
get movement speed
I don’t know if it’s intended or not, but there’s a space at the bottom of the map where you wouldn’t get hit by the beams (or sometimes just get 1-2 hits as the beams pass through, which allows you to recover health).
Most of the time, you can still outrun the speed the tri-beam rotation if you stay close enough to the boss, but yeah, it can get annoying because sometimes you could misclick, causing you to move to the wrong spot and then you get decimated by the beam.
Thank you so very much for this tip, it really does reduce the damage taken by hiding in the space in the bottom. I was able to finally beat this terrible mechanic after a week of trying thanks to you. Very much appreciated.
Out of curiosity what is your movement speed?
it was 34% but it was unmanageable in the fight with buffs. I reduced it to 16% by changing boots and with buffs it was ok but still can’t do the fight running in a circle. The best option was the space in the bottom of the arena to reduce the incoming damage.
