Recommend one of two ideas: Split the node thematically in two ways, one widening the AoE as does the current effect, or extending its range into a thrust as a new mutually exclusive option (or the effects just stack, including cooldown). Alternatively, staves and spears use the thrust and all other weapons use the swing since that matches animation.
I’m playing with Firebrand and the length it grows compared to how anemic Mana Strike feels even with Mana Cleave and 5 Sprite Blade points makes it very easy to miss and lose out on very needed mana. Half the time, my fire aura kills anything in range of Mana Strike, the other half I’m too far away and miss. Changing it to be more thematic based on animation (thrust vs cleave) or giving players two versions of the same node to fit their need and playstyle would be great.
