If you die on the last objective in a Monolith then your minions can finish the objective. After they finish it you can hit the create portal button and go through it while dead. It treats it as if you didn’t die in the monolith even giving the chest. After doing that your character won’t be able to pick up any gold and subsequent monoliths will be empty of monsters until you relog.
