I have a general question about the Abomination ability to consume other minions. I’m using the Abomination to consume about 9 skeleton archers, 4 skeleton mages, 1 Golum, and 1 Wraith. I also have equipped the new Tyrant’s Skull relic that summons the T-Rex, the Evolution’s End amulet, and the Tolmat’s History of Eterra catalyst that “Summons Historic Minion”.
When using the Abomination skill to consume minions, it absorbs all those listed above, including the T-Rex and the historic minion. Is this intentional? Does the Abomination also absorb their qualities and add more buffs per differnt type of minion or only as listed on the Abomination skill tree for regular necromancer minions?
Based on the skill description, this shouldn’t happen. It should only absorb the ones on the list, otherwise why specifiy them?
I expect this would have been happening already with other temporary minions, like the crab from the ring or the historic minion from the catalyst, but no one playing abom is using these minions, so it went unnoticed.
Either way, seems like a bug and should be reported.
Yeah, it absorbs every minion under your control. Also Skeleton Vanguards and the crab from the unique ring.
But it doesn’t devour these minions afterwards. You won’t get the bonus from the engorgement node since it doesn’t mention these minions.
In the past before the skill changes if 1.3 you were also able to absorb any minion to get the basic bonus from the core skill.
So maybe they changed the core skills text the wrong way or they forgot to exclude these special minions from the skill after they changed the description.
Filing a bug report is for sure a good idea.
Looks like T-Rex is after fresh meat because you only feed it dirt and bones? Sounds like a bug though. Then again Abom using that parts as well could be fun
.
Even the mighty T-Rex gets chomped up!
