Hey, everyone. So, I’m following Aaron’s Lazy Necro Minions only build and having a lot of fun. No, it’s not super strong, but as the name suggests, it’s lazy, and that’s what I’m seeking at the moment. The Golem, Skeletons, Skeleton Mages, and Wraiths all do fire damage. The Volatile Zombies also, but the constant spamming of the Zombies is annoying and detracts from the concept of a lazy build. I’d love to drop the Zombies and instead apply an area-wide ignite effect on enemies to allow the permanent minions to do more damage. Is there an option for me to do that? Something like Bone Curse, but with an Ignite effect.
I don’t know the specific of the build and how well it would fit it, but a properly specced variant of Infernal Shade jsut sounds like what you are looking for.
You can put it on your Golem or any other melee minion and ramp it up over time to apply relatively strong ignites. But all of that would scael with your own fire/ignite scaling not oyur minions, so its not objectively that powerful on a minion build, but fits the theme.
But Infernal Shae does provide some utility and buffs for your minions, like Attack and Movement Speed and Haste.
With Duration investment Infernal Shade lasts 8,75 seconds so its much less spammy then Volatiel Zombies.
Also if you don’t want to apply it to your minions you could also spec it into being a Ground Area Effect that applies Fire Shred, which would be a multiplier to your minions damage. (Not sure if that build has Fire Shred in it already.
Overall Infernal Shade can be tailored so that you like it the most possible.
It might not be objectivel as good, but defintiely more “lazy” than spamming Volatile Zombies.
Oh, awesome! Sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Thank you very much.
EDIT: So, I am not there yet, but after looking at the Infernal Shade nodes, here is my plan:
Cackling Flames - 2
Brimsone - 3
Hellfire - 1
Fiend Hunter - 2
Influence - 3
Torment Beacon - 5
Baneful - 2
Fanning the Flames - whatever is left
Yeah, this might be nice. We shall see.
