"Nearby" and a tape measure

Sniper’s Gambit refers to “nearby” enemies, but doesn’t specify how close that is. Concentration specifies 4m, but doesn’t use the word “nearby”. Sharpshooter specifies 10m for its distance cap. I also can’t find any definition in the game guide about this. It’s all a little confusing.

More importantly though, even if all the terminology was standardized, I still don’t really know how far 4m or 10m actually is. The best I can do is trial-and-error with getting hit from various distances to get a feel for it. It would be really helpful is there was some way to see exactly how far things were. A few possibilities:

  • Add circles around the training dummy every 5m, out to some reasonable multiple

  • Show an aura around the character when hovering over a passive that cares about distance. Ideally this would be sized specifically for that passive, but if not, then just the same 5m training dummy circles would still be a huge help.

  • Some sort of measuring tool that displays the distance between your character to the cursor. Maybe something in town with fancy arrows and circles and whatnot, maybe a settings checkbox that adds the distance text to the cursor with no other fluff.
