It most definitely did. The thing that helped give it more replayability was modding on the local side and trading/multiplayer on the online side. Even then multiplayer online connections were absolute trash when D2 was released.
Also movement was so bad in that game that the best item in the game was one that allowed any character to stop using movement as a means of transportation. (Shoutouts to the Jahith Bear)
D3 was pretty good and took a bit longer to plateau due to the small increases with the paragon system and the early progression with loot 2.0 and making huge sweeping changes from time to time. Even then, you just easily get to a point where you have to progress your gear and there isnât trade to help you get there.
Trade is whatâs been keeping me going after a couple hundred hours. I canât imagine playing CoF for more than a hundred hours.
Yes. Build was OP as hell but there 0 connection with my problems. I even think with weak build problems with itemisation will be multiplied. Now I could play high corruption with shit items (ex. T7,T5,T2,T1). Why? because didnt get any good in 180h :). I very like this game and I 100% will be playing next cycle in MG. But your reply do not cover any of my points.

Accunt wide is good if you play only broken builds. Your build can do Corruption 300 WITOUT ITENS , try a normal build.
Forging potential is less RNG than POE. If the was more easy, you wil complaim more.

You missing some points.
Account wide is required sooner or later. On 1 character you accommodate items (CoF / currency MG) slowly building corruption to ex.1000. Then U start next char with good (CoF) almost perfect item (MG) at 100 corruption and U sleep till ~600 (this is dependent on build tier)
Forging Potential is much more RNG than POE but way more accessible. Even now with Vision Crafting and absurd amount currency for meta crafting. But when Harvest was at full power there is even no comparison. When U could snipe affix, change resistant, many mind blowing shenanigans and never break your items. Good old times. Most my friends and me semi-dropped PoE after Harvest Rework.
My 0.9 build was able to do corrupt 700 ultra easy cannot kill a normal moster corrupt 500.
I get this build, did a GOOD damage upgrade and now I can one shot normal monster corrupt 100 but canât do the boss from timeline.
Believe, if you are playing a build that is nor broken you canât do corrupt 200 easyli
In 0.9.2 played Hydra Runemaster
In 0.9.0 and before that I remember Glacier Sorc, Flame Wraith Necro, Shadow Dagger, DeathSeal Lich, BoneGolem Necro, Warpath VK.
All build felt very powerfull and have no problem till stack some dmg modifiers on Echo.
This is simple, because D2 is a game made by players for players with a focus on ROLE PLAY and not on stupid mechanics for the Korean public where everything lasts milliseconds. D2 has one of the best gameplays to date, which makes me enjoy playing and replaying.
LE has one of the WORST gameplays, the arenas are narrow, the mobs cast HK in huge areas and there are many defenses that donât work, the mobs continue to cast even when stunned or frozen, the boss fights are poorly done with dragons that instantly turn on their own axis just to create " necanica".
This game drinks in the STINKY water of DS, the idea that killing the player makes the game difficult, killing a player is simple, just one line of code. D2 has the difficulty in the battle itself, you feel your life decreasing and your potions running out cream kills you instantly the fights are visually clean even with builds with millions of projectiles. LE has potential but itâs VERY far from being a good game, honestly I deleted it and I donât know if Iâll come back because the game doesnât have much to offer and it doesnât motivate me to start it again, LIKE IN ALL SOULLIKE you beat it once and throw it away because there is nothing there to repeat and go through all the errors, bugs, and stupid hitkills
