My suggestions for Last Epoch

MY SUGGESTIONS FOR LAST EPOCH

Campaign:

Campaign boss rewards:

  • Instead of regular and empowerd monolyth blessings, introduce basic blessings into campaign
    • After defeating Varhun (1 basic blessing)
    • After defeating Bone Fiend
    • After defeating Drowned Mage
    • After defeating Pannion
    • After defeating Lagon (1 basic blessing)
    • After helping Heorot (1 basic blessing)
    • After destroying Majasa (1 basic blessing)
    • After helping Eterra (1 basic blessing)
    • After …
      • Basic blessing persist for character even after choosing greater blessings
      • Basic blessings could be fixed values and you have to pick one out of 3 options for each slot
  • Basic blessings should be some small but meaningful reward
  • After completing entire campaign big screen reward (+5 to all attributes, +100 HP etc.)

Monolyth:

  • Instead of regular monolyth we have empowered monolyth you can build up from the go. Every time you hit certain amount of corruption you get checkpoint you can always return to from the difficulty menu (ex. 0 corruption, 100 corruption, 300 corruption, 500 corruption, 1000 corruption). Difficulty translates to each monolyth you go to next.
  • Introduce 11th monolyth with brand new (Ancient era boss) with corresponding blessings
  • Alternate history (story mode) make it optional or skippable with Temporal keystone

Boss mechanics:

  • Campaign bosses – remove energy shield and make them faster to kill, but enable noobies to catch on to the mechanics easier
  • Monolyth bosses – Instead of energy shield intervals, rework them so on each health checkpoint they add something to their power (some additional armor, resistance, attacks, modifiers etc.). Make them more interactive, less loot pinatas
  • Boss rotations (random boss alternatives – visual and power-like)

Factions:

THE WOVEN:

  • More clear organization of Echoes
    • Create categories:
      • FARMING:
        • Echoes for class equipement
      • CRAFTING
        • Set dissassembly
        • Idol crafting
        • Unique refreshing
        • Etc.
      • BOSSING
        • More boss echoes
        • Uber Abbaroth
        • Uber regular Monolyth bosses
      • UTILITY
        • Mages
        • Nemeses
        • Loot lizzards
        • Caches
        • Etc.

(Reading entire description of echoes is tedious in order to find one you need)

CIRCLE OF FORTUNE:

  • Enable prophecies as „quest notes“ on screen
  • More lenses (exclude non wanted items, affixes, rarities etc.)
  • More lens sockets
  • RANK 12 passive reward – rarity modifier for every monolyth

MERCHANT’S GUILD:

RANK 12 passive reward – 20% discount on stash tabs and NPC vendors (including seasonal content and Haven of Silk)

IDOLS:

  • Full on Idol crafting
    • Dissasembling idols
    • Finding bases (minor, humble, stout etc.)
    • Affix levels and lootfilter for them
    • Idol amalgamations weird shapes or effects etc.
    • More idol slots

CRAFTING:

  • Shatter rune and Rune of removal
    • Keep rune of removal but make rune of shatter just a button
  • Experimental affixes
    • RNG based crafting mechanic to create your own experimental affix that can result in various unexpected effects

ARENAS:

  • Scrap arena as a game mode and introduce „Surviving Last Epoch“ mini game mode!!
    • „Vampire survivor“-like minigame
    • You enter an arena as your character but you have no equipement nor skills
    • All skills are passives (you can utilize equpement as meta progression that have some minor effect on runs)
    • On the start of the run you choose 1 skill from the pool
    • Enemies drop xp orbs and you level up
    • Regular arena key opens a run that lasts 15-20 minutes with the boss at the end
    • Arena key of memory is now Key of Endless Survivor which opens instance that’s endless with a boss after every 20th wave (ex.)
    • After each run (failed or otherwise, you get a chest with corresponding rewards that reflect number of monsters killed, successful boss death etc.)

CLASSES / ASCENDANCIES:

  • Duelist/warrior/Barbarian class
    • SAMURAI
      • 2H Katana / dual wield katana /katana – dagger (wakizashi)
    • NINJA
      • 1H katana / Sai /daggers
    • SOLDIER
      • 2h Polearm / Spear / katana - shield
  • Hunter/Merc class
    • SNIPER
      • Crossbow / longbow / bow
    • TRAPPER
      • daggers
    • PERFUMIST

TRANSMOGS:

Needs no explanations… let us combine all ingame gear as transmogs including microtransaction

HIDEOUT:

  • Shortcuts to Factions (Circle of fortune, Bazzaar, Woven…)
  • Skill and Ascendancy respec
  • Portal for monolyth and reward chest

MONOLYTH REWARD CHEST REWORK:

  • Instead of 2 things to click after successful echo, just 1 CHEST
  • Chest now contains all items dropped in echo, no need for pet collectors nor dying because you stopped for loot. Motivate people to play fast builds or minions so you don’t have to backtrace for loot

I strongly disagree with the idea of the campaign blessings as that’s just pure power creep in a section of the game that is mindblowingly easy as it is.

I agree that normal monos are a pointless/boring part of the game that I’d like to be able to skip.

They have a green icon on them from memory?

MG doesn’t need that, they can sell stuff to get gold, CoF is the faction more likely to be starved of gold for stash tabs.

This was requested when idols were introduced but the devs viewed idols as a chase item slot since it’s not easy to get the affixes you want. Wasn’t rerolling added in 1.3?

That’s how the experimental affixes used to work, not sure why it was changed, maybe people weren’t using it much?

There’s already a big motivation to play fast builds, I’m not sure we need more.

Monolith doesn’t have a y in it (in English).

It was and it’s the most useless thing ever. If you find a tomb and run it to the end, you can reroll an idol once for 500 amber to get the exact equivalent of an idol drop of that type. 2 tries (and 1000 amber) if it’s a cemetery.

For it to be useful, it would have to let you lock one of the affixes. As it is, you get an extra idol drop every now and then. Basically worthless.

Strongly disagree, campaign is already easy no need.

I would like the idea to have some checkpoints to get back to currently it literally takes forever to downgrade any meaningful amount if you hit 1000+. As for the empowered monos i believe it is completely unnecessary to have 2 different monos. Just merge them idk how this is not obvious. You start corruption from zero and go up once you hit 100 it becomes empowered basically but you dont really need to call it “empowered” just monoliths with corruption mechanic. After you hit 100 you unlock harbingers and that is basically it.

New monolith would be nice but what they gonna make the echo reward type ?

Again no need, you can already skip the whole campaign it takes an hour or less to go to Chapted 9. You can even just ask someone to TP you there. Only problem is leveling the actual character since you will get reduced exp form monos if you are below 50.

I have leveled up 2 alts with help of a friend and i would assume only “painful” part would be the self leveling to kill dungeons.

I think Shield mechanics is just useless. Basically health bar makes no sense and gives little info about when boss is going to die. Just Increase its HP and remove the shield.

The only way you can still keep shield is when boss is animation and phase change which (if) has huge damage reduction like abberoth. Then you can add the shield and if it breaks you can still hit full damage if it dont break and animation ends shield just goes away. Balance the HP according to this. This change would make much sense than current way of how shield works.

We just need more uber or generally more bosses. They added Chapted 10 and there is no version of The Observer for endgame i am kinda sad to see that. There is no uber boss for weaver and no for rift. We need more types of bosses for endgame. All i do is farm abberoth at this point.

Jesus yes, it took me a long time to learn the names of crafting ones. Good categorization needed for sure. Maybe just add simple tag text for each to easily identify what it is doing if we want we can read the whole description

More lens sockets and more lenses with some reward of mechanic. Killing Uber Observer for example could work. No need rarity modifier we need way to get gold in CoF.

I feel like idols is the only real chase items because they are too RNG based. It is not that hard to get what you looking for however it is hard to get some good rolls and good enchancts which takes time. I think it should honestly, game is already easy as is.

About reforge mechanic it is terrible. You get 1 if its tomb and 2 if its cemetery and it basically rolls everything it is not even close to being worth and nearly impossible to get what you want. I literally stack 20 same type of idol prophecies and i cant get what i want so how on earth reforge would give me what i want if i cant even lock one affix.

Reforge would only make sense if we can lock one affix otherwise it is just not even worth the amber cost lol.

You can press Y which brings up the UI for those factions, and when you look at the specific faction you can press the button top right to take you to the Waypoint on the map and then go straight there. Is that what you are talking about?
