This should be easier. EHG should make it simple and seamless for returning players.
I last Played mid Season 1. I had a Rogue, Mage and Acolyte in their 90s. I have been out of state for 2 years and following the games progress. I was excited to play again.
I hoped to simply jump into LEGACY and just grind some newer gear and try the new systems. But NO., NO, NO. My characters were very weak. I expected it to be underpowered but not BROKEN like this.
My passives had been reset. My skill trees had been reset. I have no recollection of what my build was about or how to make my equipped gear useful once again.
My Circle of Fortune gear was unexpectedly unusable. Even after searching for a way to FIX this online, it was FAR from CLEAR how to do this in game.
EHG, I know you can do better.
Other games ( even Diablo 3) do not have these problems.
This is a HUGE turn off. Instead of hitting the ground running, and happily mashing buttons, 10 minutes after updating… I am tabbed out looking up things and unhappy.
I had to jump out of game. Look up how to restore my FACTION. This should be a pop-up when FIRST play a previously seasonal character in Legacy.
Next, I had to look up a new build to use. Swap out my skills and DIG thru pages of gear for something vaguely similar to the pieces in the guide.
HOURS AND HOURS OF WASTED TIME.
I should be able to return to a previous setup just like it was. I expect some features or skills to change or be removed as you improve the game. That’s fine.
What’s the point of retaining seasonal characters - if they show up broken (reset) in Legacy?
