My feedback before I took a break

So, my PC has chosen this opportune moment to die on me. Some hardware related issue and because of IRL stuff, I might not be able to repair it for at least half a year… So no patch 8.3 or further for me. Sad. Before my break, I want to leave some feedbacks for the dev in hope that this game gets better and better. Note that these are purely my opinion.

  1. RNG Blessing farming. It has been addressed somewhat in the new patch, but my original idea is that blessing choice can be skipped and grant 1 reroll chance (1 out of 3blessing) for the next round of choices.
  2. Respeccing skill at early level is very punishing. Quite glaring as the game showers us with many skill choice at early level. Perhaps, at skill level 1-8, the acceleration should be increased further to facilitate experimentation.
  3. Prefix suffix imbalance. Currently all interesting affix is part of the prefix category.
  4. Pacing in mono is quite off. Early mono are okay but, it quickly become grindier and grindier before reaching empowered. Then on higher corruption, it become less grindy. Perhaps a gentler slope on normal mono and then become harsher in empowered would be more welcoming to player.
  5. Arena key as mono reward is not rewarding for people not interested in it. Often times it block the only way to reach further node and player are forced to take it.
  6. Depending on design philosophy, it might be beneficial for early passive node to be more general to facilitate cross class build.
  7. Idols layout are currently quite limiting. I enjoy the puzzle aspect but it is sad not being able to fit the largest pieces together. Yes, decision matters here, but would be more satisfying if at least 2 of the largest different type of idol can fit (1x5 and 5x1 for example)
  8. Hybrid build is lackluster at the moment. Like range+minion build. Skill node or affixes that share effectiveness might be useful here. For example minion gets player necrotic damage at 50% effectiveness.
  9. Forging and transferring shard should only be accessible in the town/ hub
  10. The mono hub area (not end of time) needs the dummy and the respec npc.
  11. For (future) end game content, you might want to look into Item World mechanic in Disgaea series. Might give you some inspiration.
  12. Personally, I do not see why every class need to have minion skill.
  13. Please let us click on skill bar to activate skill. Sometimes I just want to chill and only use mouse to play. Assigning skill can be left to right click
  14. Speed of update. There are a lot of good feedback in the forum and feature to develop in the roadmap. I appreciate that EHG has given us great quality update everytime. But perhaps it might be time to prioritize more quantity to go towards release. More and more competitors are releasing in the coming years that can drag attention away from LE. So maybe things like small balance change can be less prioritized.

That is all my feedbacks. Hope I can at least come back before release. Otherwise, all the best in developing a successful ARPG.

Arena key sells for tons of gold, so it is essentially a gold node for everyone. I think these nodes should be rarer though because you are right, most people won’t care to receive them. Some of the common nodes aren’t super rewarding in general but you can often finish the nodes quick enough to keep going.

Alright, somehow my PC is working today after getting BSOD the whole night yesterday. Hope it stays that way

On arena key, either the node can be made rare or it also reward random rare rune/glyph/equip
