I’m finding a lot of the dungeon/monolith music to be a little soft. One thing I loved about Diablo 2’s soundtrack was that it had a quiet but loud effect and carried a sense of tension that was driven by percussions.
Wanted to know if anyone else felt this way as well? The music is a little too relaxing in my opinion but I also know that this is a highly subjective opinion.
In all ARPGs (and, in fact, in almost all games) I immediately turn off the music, since I’d rather be listening to my own. So I have no opinion on this. Many players just turn it off.
I found that I really enjoyed music from D2 and POE so I would listen along. What I like is that it’s not overly bloated with instrumentation since we are playing grindy games but compelling enough to add some tension in the gameplay loop.
Some of the tracks in LE are pretty good but others are way to relaxing for combat.
I can believe that. I never really listened to either (even though I still play D2). But you wanted to know other player’s opinions, so I provided the opinion of someone that doesn’t even listen to it
