The Vengeful node reads “You have a chance to retaliate with Multistrike swords on block.” The swords are replaced with Smite but when blocking no Smites are cast; nothing seems to come from Vangeful with Smite spec’d. Can test by standing still and letting lower level ranged mobs shoot at you; when blocking they take no damage from anything and no Smites get cast.
