Was playing last night and this morning with no issues. After patch 0.8.14D was downloaded, I played for about an hour then restarted the game while in a party with my friends.
When I tried to log back in, I was immediately met with a “Lost Connection - You lost connection to the game server” popup.
I am still able to see chat message while this pop up is displayed on the screen, as well as invitations to parties from my friends. The esc button still works and brings up the in game menu as well. (I cannot click these or interact with anything behind the lost connection pop up.)
I have tried restarting steam, my pc, the game and my router, but no success getting past this screen yet. Also verified the integrity of my game files.
update. Tried to play through cloud gaming provider (completely different location/network) and got the same problem. Looks like not a network issue but account specific.
update 2. I tried to log in on my friend’s computer, who lives 100km from me, under my Steam account, but on his game client and with his Internet. and this problem is still not solved. after that, my friend logged into his steam account and he did not have this problem. very similar to the fact that this is not a network problem, but an in-game account
After 18 hrs, my account was able to log back in. I didn’t try the login remotely or changing my IP/location as you have, I just waited/couldn’t play.
I did find out that the issue may be related to losing connection to the server while in a party. Apparently, if this happens, you should have your party kick you before you log back in, or you may encounter the issue? (I am not fully sure though, as I have not had the problem again since it resolved itself)
hopefully yours starts working soon, or a patch comes out and fixes the issue.
Just received this error, log-into account fine, select character, hit Enter Game, loading screen, then “Lost Connection”
We were also experiencing re spawning in just a background screen, no level/floor upon dying in Liath Tower & Lagon and my Storm Crows had no icon whilst they were summoned after i re spawned - just incase any of this is related, although i doubt it is.
