Multiplayer & Class Speed Differences

Hello,

First Id like to see if other people have had this issue or even see it as an issue.

I started the 0.9 patch with my friend who went a crit lich build. I started as a paladin. The issue is the lich form + dash ability made it so I could NEVER keep up with my friend. It made the game unenjoyable because the only time I felt like I got to contribute was during boss fights. I know paladin has the shield charge but it is limited to a straight line and only in big open maps was it helpful to keep up.

After this I decided to switch to the lighting swipe druid build. While I enjoyed this build much more over the paladin it suffers from the same movement ability being locked to only going in a straight line (as well as being canceled for any verticality in a map i.e. hills, stairs, etc.) and once again killed my enjoyment while playing with my friend where only bossing felt fun.

I hated the feeling that unless I changed classes again to something that had similar movement ability I would not have fun playing with friends. Id like to add that solo play was MUCH more fun since I could go at my pace without trying to keep up but that defeats the purpose of multiplayer.

I don’t know what solutions they could add other than change movement skills for all classes to be on par with each other. I am definitely NOT asking for lich movement to be nerfed.

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any ideas on this for future updates.

Thank you!

You’re mostly incentivized to spread out in monoliths right now anyway. I can understand the frustration at someone you’re playing with moving faster than you, but that’s kind of unsolvable?

I would recommend attempting to take different directions while doing the monoliths and converging on the objective. You’ll miss out on some loot drops but it all evens out in the end.
