Mouse polling rate over 1k hz causes game freezes/stutters

Issue:
Micro stutters when user moves the mouse, the more user moves the mouse the longer lag/freeze period lats.

Cause:
Issue is caused by setting mouse polling rate over 1k hz

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set polling rate in your mouse to value over 1k hz
  2. Open the game and enter into world with any character
  3. Move character and observe stutters when moving character and performing mouse movements.

I use a Logitech g302 set to 1000 hz polling rate (default - cannot go higher) and I do not experience this issue at all.

Assuming that you are using the latest versions of the drivers/applications for your mouse.

I also did a quick search and see that there are a few mentions of 1khz polling rates on the Sabre mouse causing issues in other games including GTA V etc… These were apparently resolved by Resetting the Mouse.

If this doesnt work and to help the devs, please can you include your game logs (player.log) file AND an export of the DXDIAG report of your system.

It works fine on 1k Hz, issues happen when you set any higher, wasn’t clear enough there :slight_smile:

Did a reset have any difference… The Corsair forums have people with the same issue in various games…
