Mouse Cursor/Pointer size is an issue in 4K Linux native

The cursor is too small and not high-contrast enough. In 4K, I constantly loose the cursor; it’s actually the ONLY reason why I prefer to play controller (mouse is superior in all other aspects imho)

yolomouse does not work on Linux. There are some solution but they are clunky: e.g. GitHub - neetsots/swcursor: Large software cursor for screen recording on X11 which involve a always-on-top transparent window following the mouse. It’s the best I’ve found so far, fortunately, it’s also simple to build and only requires xlib/gtk which should work on most distributions.

It’s clunky because the window lags behind the pointer (badly in high-CPU/Low-FPS)

Please help propose alternate cursor, or simply make it a configuration options (even if it’s only via .txt/.ini/.cfg types of file.

E.g. in POE (though I don’t like the micro-transaction there): Never Lose Your CURSOR Again in Path of Exile 3.14! - YouTube

UPDATE: for those who reach this post and play on Linux, I ended up going with swcursor

Yes, this is a frequent problem in most games that for some mad reason doesn’t ever seem to get addressed. We’ve become complacent over time with using yolomouse to mask the problem, but most game devs don’t give enough (if any) cursor customisation options.

With more & more people moving towards Linux now it’s going to become even more prevalent.

Perhaps LE could be the unique game that properly addresses this issue once and for all, by allowing users to fully choose their cursor size/colour from within the game? Come on Devs, blind us with some innovation, and make yourselves a great USP into the bargain.
