Current Situation:
At the moment, rerolling an item requires using another item with at least the same amount of LP as the target item. This restricts the use of lower-LP items, making them feel almost useless for endgame crafting.
Proposed Change:
Allow items with lower LP to be used in rerolling higher LP items by increasing the number of items required. This would make the system more flexible and give value to the many low-LP items players find during their runs.
Example:
To reroll an item with 4 LP, a player could:
Use another item with 4 LP (as currently required),
OR use two items with 3 LP each,
OR use three items with 2 LP each,
And so on, based on a clear scaling cost.
This system could be based on total LP equivalence or a weighted formula to prevent abuse.
Benefits:
Low-LP items would become valuable resources rather than vendor trash.
Players would be rewarded for item hunting, even when they don’t find perfect drops.
Encourages strategic resource management and crafting decisions.
I believe this change would enhance the crafting and rerolling experience, making it more engaging and less punishing. Curious to hear what others think!
