Monolith Static Mapping/Additional Node ideas

So, with the new dungeons coming out soon, thought id throw this topic out there.

When are randomized maps coming to monoliths?

Static maps are killing the replayability for me.

And it just feels like im running on a treadmill instead of on a journey or path or it leading to anything.

Plus you can get some really crappy nodes that just not fun to run.

I tend to skip any that have more that 2 shooting spires, ill enter and exit a mono immediately sometimes cause the effect the game decides to use for that node, i dont like.

Can we have more class specific nodes? Lile a ā€œclass only dropsā€ node?

I also like the kill a bunch of minions to find a boss minion, kill him maps over. Thats probably the easiest ones and the most consistently fun ones. Im not chasing patrolling enemies who are on opposite sides of the map.

I am more annoyed by the limited amount of objectives and the lack of secondary objectives plus severe lack of strategy when going through monos. There is only one strategy and that is a straight line, both in the map screen and when actually playing.

I want the map decisions for each mono to impact future monos in a way besides just enemy buffs and loot drop/xp. For example if some monos come with an increase to specific loot types that lasts for 3 monos or increased stability gain.

Also if monos had secondary objectives with specific reward types associated, so that you will care more about mono objectives than just the straight line(and sometimes do the other quest depending on the reward)

Maybe achievement/quest goals for monoliths inside of the echoes would be nice.
I just get bored with the monoliths cause they are so insanely static for me. I just feel like its not going anywhere, what am I building to?

The current map just feels like im randomly picking nodes and going through monolith without having a goal in mind other building a bar. I’d rather there be a goal and better/ more interesting nodes. It just feels like im running campaign maps recolored over and over again.

I agree, there really needs to be a lot more ability to manipulate the echo rewards of future echos or even the reward of the current one. Both in terms of the type of loot drops and in terms of the stability/curruption system, because currently we only have loot% and xp% in exchange for monster mods.

I just feel like all these games are so static with their gameplay its annoying.

I just would like some random new modes or nodes in the monos, like a ā€œdefenseā€ mode where you have to protect a VIP or something and kill the bad guys on the path, like a caravan or something.

Or some end bosses mixed into the monos as ā€œsurprisesā€ when you hit a node there’s a 1% chance it transforms into a ā€œmonsterā€ node that contains a super buffed version of the enemies and if you win it you get a stack of rare runes/glyphs and a few runes of ascendance.
