Monolith of Fate Suggestion

To me, the Monolith of Fate feel like a chore and become very boring quickly. I was thinking what could be the reason for that, as I do usually enjoy grinding in general more/for longer than I do in Last Epoch.

I think one of the reasons could be the Echo Web that is fully randomized, and the ‘‘fog of war’’. From the beginning, players just select a random direction, and it has no real deep mechanic behind that other than complete one node to reveal another.

What I think would be a good idea is if entire Echo Web was fully revealed from the start, there were fewer nodes, and the actual shape of the Echo Web and the placement/rewards of nodes would have some logic behind it. Players would then select the direction in which they complete the nodes based on the goal/reward, etc. they want/need.

Also, the amount of Monoliths in total should be reduced to 3-5 (max). I could even see a solution where we would have only one big Monolith. And the target farming would be based on the direction you choose to clear the Echo Web. Bosses would be placed at the edge of the Web Echo.

I think the fog of war should stay but maybe be a little further out. The direction you choose should have some meaning related to reward priority.
