Just a suggestion to add a rare but fun boss node in monoliths. It could be a random Monolith boss or perhaps 2 boss spawn, where the bosses have same chance of their normal unique drops.
Also have timed objective nodes where the faster complete better rewards. Puzzle nodes where you have to kill mini bosses and find the correct door or secret doors. Finally a maze node where you have no mini map or map.
I am totally onboard with this.
I generally think some more ārareā echo types would be cool, with some exclusive rewards.
Simialr rarity to Vessels of Chaos and Vessels of Memory.
Like the example you gave here, a random boss, or maybe specific bosses.
They need to be rare enough to be exciting, but also give enough rewards to feel worthwhile.
I imagine as we get cycles I see the cycle mechanic of sorts coming through as unique nodes in the monolith tree. In my minds eye I can imagine the poe atlas tree ported over to make them appear more often etcā¦
But if theyāre too rareā¦
I like the sound of most of the ideas except the speed one. I do think speeding through echoes could have a purpose, but not this kind of purpose
I want exciting boss fight to begin with pretty please. After 1-2 attempts every boss in LE is pretty boring from my point of view so Iām for more differnciated boss fights. Maybe add more attacks and skills to existing bosses the higher the corruption is and make them change their existing attack patterns on a random basis.
Also have special key nodes that drop rare keys that can be used to unlock locked nodes. Have the locked nodes be uber bosses or very special uniques from the hardest challenges. Gives the hardcore players something to work for
You mean like⦠going in a dungeon and fight a T4 Boss? Or do you mean something different?
It would make more sense to have higher tier bosses gated behind certain levels of corruption that it would be to require a key. Dungeons already exist for that.
Yeah something like. Maybe its a new boss or each key has its own boss fight which is ramped up in difficulty which of course drops really good loot that can be showed off for your accomplishment. Also maybe if you use lets say all 4 keys on a node you get ubers which is multiple bosses at once and that could be hardest challenge. Also make great use for having groups and another addition for multiplayer
True. Iam just thinking of new nodes and ideas for the monolith. But yes i would like to see more done with higher corruption. Maybe each 100 lvl of corruption has its own bosses.
