This is pretty minor thing, but I’ll still report it.
Exluding my current character, I last played LE before the multiplayer patch. I recall there being voice lines during certain points on the storyline. I liked that sort of stuff that your character says something.
These did not occur at all during the time I leveled through the storyline. This was on the accolyte, but not sure if that matters. I asked in the global chat, if this was occuring to anyone else and it seems it was indeed working for everyone but me. There might have been one person who said something similar, but not sure if it was the same thing.
I believed I might have accidentally turned dialogue off from options somehow, but as far as I can tell, this is not the case.
If this is only happening to me, it might be something on my end, but all other sounds, speech and anything I could notice worked fine EXCEPT the couple voice lines.
So Im not even sure if this is bug or not.
I havent tried if it happens on new characters yet.
I experience this as well. Each player character used to say a different voice line on certain events, like when you first travel to the ruined era at the start of the game, or back to the divine era.
I haven’t played for a long time and one day returned after the multiplayer patch, and when I returned and created new characters on the multiplayer settings, they were missing these voice lines. Now the only voice the characters have is the “I have no mana” lines.
It is a small thing, but it really hurts immersion when the world literally crumbles around the character and they have no reaction whatsoever. Even a speech bubble above their heads would be enough if they can’t have actual voice, but there is nothing.
The guard who shouts “Run Minimus!” when you go to the last refuge now has more personality then my character. His voice still works XD
I have made a new character from each archetype and progressed through the story, and it’s broken for all of them. I think some other NPCs also lost their voice lines, like the guard who stands outside the temple when you travel back to the imperial era for the first time who I think used to say something like “How did you get here? The temple is locked!”
Edit: I tried “verifying integrity of game files”, and uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and it didn’t help.
I tried making an offline character just to test it. The voicelines, at least at the very start of the game did work. I did not play further than to test it, but when you get the first epoch shard and enter the void corrupted timeline the first time, the voiceline occured.
I believe its either disabled on online mode for some reason or is broken for some people on online mode. Offline seemed to work.
