Minion Stances?

Any idea when Minion Stances are going to be included? The original timeframe was 0.7.4, and there is still no news on when this will be happening.

Well the last news I heard was that all stances were disappearing in this next patch.

There seemed to be a bigger problem with minion stances so they weren’t able to implement them. Its somehow out of the focus now.

From what I know they still plan to implement them at some point, but no time schedule.

@Revelasti you are referring to skills. Minion stances are something different. It is meant to be an option to switch behaviour of your minions like

• defend (only attack when attacked themselves)
• aggressive (attack everything in range
• or passive (don’t do anything at all, just follow)

It’s an expansion if the minion AI.

Minion stances are something different.

I see, I didn’t know since I usually don’t play minion builds.

I hope there won’t be too many minion stances, I don’t want to be forced to permanent micro management of a hord of minions.
Something like “protect me”, “clear the screen”, “attack THIS target”, “don’t move” should be enough, I guess.

I’d assume they’d be along the lines of aggressive/neutral/defensive and you’d continue to use A to het them to prioritise a specific target or location.

Since minion stances were announced, there were some changes to the minion AI. So minions aren’t as dumb as back in the days.

Current behaviour is that minions follow you and catch up when you walk a specific distance away. Also they prioritise enemies that attack the player.

Personally I don’t have an issue currently with minions. I’m not sure how my gameplay could benefit from stances right now.

I’m happy with how minions are currently.
I use them with Necromancers and Beastmasters mainly, and I’d say they fit my needs.
But sometimes it can help to have minions stand still, or maybe have a list of targets (kill this, then that, then that, …). They can always be improved.
But if they don’t change and stay as they are, I’ll be happy.
