I don’t know why minions must be behind you by default and only movable by clicking a button. Why not add an option or button to place minions to different positions from where you are, like in front of you or sides or whatever, or further in front of you perhaps too?
Why is this not a thing? There’s mechanics like autorun in other games and this game has that too, your character moves by holding the button down, not clicking it constantly. So why’s that not as streamlined with minions?
Why I ask this change, is because I want my minions to do the initial tanking for me so I can escape an oh-crap situation in hardcore and why not in normal mode too. Minion builds in hardcore aren’t as viable because you have to sacrifice your own survivability for minion stats, and that means they should do more of the tanking too, in my view at least. I feel that if you force players to constantly press A or whatever key you bind to your minion movement/attack, it’s just an artificial difficulty added on top of what’s a good game by itself. And more tedious than difficult, so hc with minion builds becomes a match of who can endure more tediousness. And since this game has a lot of minion builds it seems, this kind of thing ought to be paid more attention to, imo.
A separate suggestion
Let us use our healing skills and such on our allies by targeting their portraits too, instead of just clicking their characters. Why? Because this is a thing in MMOs, because it’s quality-of-life, it makes things that ought to be easy like that, easy like that.
I don’t know if these suggestions would break the spirit of the game, but I don’t think they would, they are QoL (quality of life) suggestions to make the playing experience more enjoyable.
Some random feedback too…
The game is great, I’ve played druid, beastmaster and forge guard and so far enjoyed them all, though druid and forge guard are my favourites out of those three. I like how the game is not homogenized (not made too simplistic and all-the-same) with stat building and builds and gear, you can clearly feel the difference when playing those different classes. And story and the general atmosphere, I really like them.
Keep up the good work!
