Hello please consider putting in a UI pop up that tells returning players just loading into legacy for 1st time on that account how to merge.
Or just do the merge automatically while the servers are offline.

Sure why not, what every gets rid of every 10 seconds âwtf why can i equip my itemsâ & âwhere is my stuffâ
Honestly, it should just automatically adjust gold + favour as soon as you get to the character list (remember that offline is also a thing).
Before the patch you get characters that say theyâre seasonal, after the patch those characters are listed as legacy, so the trigger already existed that shifted those characters.
At that point, add the gold and favour. If you get too much gold, then add some notification which we can collect later or something like that.
But it should be automatic to get the gold and favour.
Ideally, excluding the remove-only tabs, what you want is that if you play your first character ever in LE and join a season, once it ends you can keep playing that character without even noticing anything even happened.
