Hi, I see most people talking about cof, I think most streamers also play that mode, so I thought I would give you guys some feedback about the merchant guild. Little background, veteran poe player, played most big arpg, I always play trade when available and only tried LE with the 1.0 launch.
Very short overhall feedback, this patch is great, most issues I had with 1.0 are solved, new endgame is way better.
Now for the merchant’s guild part. First of all, the trade qol improvements since the launch are smalls, but great. Being able to search for rolls, in particular for idols, was really needed. Also, the reputation leveling pace is way better. In 1.0 I basicly had every items in ssf before I could buy them, playing trade was just a downside. Not a problem this patch, everything unlocked pretty much at the correct time to be useful, without skipping massive progress steps.
Now for the issues remaining.
Trade performance is awful. Every action take 3-5s to do, lot of time where the bazar just doesn’t work. The rest of the game work perfectly fine, so I’m assuming this is only a trade problem, I have an idea to why bellow.
Buying items is great, almost perfect. The last thing I would like to see able is to be able to search for rolls on uniques, but I can understand why it would be complicated to implement.
As a seller howether, this is probably the worst qol in a trade system I’ve ever seen in modern days. Price checking anything take way too long, you basicly have to do the exact step you do for buying an item, but for every item you drop that could be worth selling. I don’t even bother for 99% of the items.
The most efficient way to sell something (outside of noticeable rare things like multiple lp uniques or double exalted items), is just to spam the market with every item possible at a chosen price threshold and hope a few sell. I have hundreds of items like that, most of which are worthless and will never sell, and 99% of them I will never touch again. I’m pretty sure the performance issues is linked to that.
I’m confident we won’t get price checking tools like in poe (awakened poe trade), but it would be really great to have a way to price check quickly, at least in the sell window. Something like a few options showing up when we put the items in, allowing to select, for uniques lp, and for others items mods, rank ect, and doing a search showing the cheapest prices available (by default, not new sale here), without leaving the window.
