I was going to buy Unclaimed Trove woven echoes from the faction vendor. I left clicked the item twice and saw amber being spent so I just kept doing that. Then I noticed that I wasn’t receiving the woven echoes in my inventory so the 14k amber I spent just disappeared.
I realize I was not using the store as one should, but its still a sad bug

I don’t think that it’s a bug. Since you can purchase something both ways by either shift+right-click or left-click drag & drop. You should pay attention to the woven echo count since you’re buying. If it increases then you repeat the process,if not well something is wrong and you need to change your purchase method.
There could be a fix to that and left click wouldn’t work on items vendor offers but until then you have to pay attention to prevent this from happening again.
Lost 12k favor by doing that when i wanted to purchase lenses so yeah. I thought there was a different space for lenses in my inventory just like keys/echoes etc. but no. I just wasted 12k favor for nothing 
Maybe. But in my opinion it’s a weird feature if you can just immediately delete something you bought, if you fail to drag it to your inventory. If you are charged currency for it it should at least automatically go to your inventory first.
I don’t see a scenario where this might be useful
