I’m playing FG Shield Bash at the moment. I’ve just lost my last key for Aberoth. I was hoping to get some advice from people who have beaten him before running a melee Sentinel. Like are there any annoying attacks that could be rebuked? Any movement techs? Build shakeups? Etc?
I have managed to make it to P4 a few times, but I just end up dying to some random AoE DoT damage in the chaos of it all. I’m running leech as my sustain, so anytime I have to run from the boss I risk dying to lack of healing from any AoE stuff on the ground.
Gear isn’t super ideal yet, but idk how much that’s really going to make the difference at this point. But I’m open to suggestions on gear to target if you think it could be a significant bottleneck.
Maybe late but my main tip for melee is DAMAGE, The fight put simply is a struggle for melee with all the DoTs and a high chance of them completely covering Aberroth. There are also very nasty BS debuffs (an unlimited stacking frailty which reduces damage and also reduces leech, regen and ward retention as well as another debuff that reduces resistances and CANNOT be cleansed) which are hard to dodge as melee. I’ve killed him on a Rive Void Knight and pumping defense through Oracle amulet and Ravenous void was useless. I finally got the kill by swapping gear for a little more damage. Last phase is a clusterfuck and can completely deny melee with the various AoE DoT effects.
Specifically for this build since it is melee damage a Siphon and Shattered chains should be a noticable damage increase.
