I understand that unique 3D models are not the priority now, but could you maybe have a quick-win alternative and at least try to match the colors?
I was sad when getting e.g. the light-blue unique gloves (dont remember the name), and it wasn’t even a bit blue even if its the basic hands model. Or the thorn belt could be black / red.
Just my 2 cents feedback

They devs are adding new 3d & 2d models for items with each patch so they are working on them…
A lot of the older uniques etc suffer from this exact issue and the devs definitely know about it and have made some decent improvements over the last 6 months or so…
I would guess that at the pace that the devs are dropping patches, there is only so much eye-candy type updates they can squeeze in…
The other side of the issue could also be to do with performance of the more detailed 3d models especially if they exhibit dynamic effects etc…
but yes… I would love to equip Riverbend Gloves and have glowing blue watery effects on my chars hands…
