So my friend and I have been playing for a little while since launch, and we both have golden resonances to use, and I found an item he has been hunting for and I wanted to gift to him.
We’re part of the same faction, we both have resonances, when I try and drag, click, or try any method to put the item into the gift inventory it doesn’t work. Right clicking on his name (that for sure has 8 resonances available) does nothing. It’s a thorn slinger belt, so nothing fancy…
What am I missing here?
Thanks for that, I appreciate it! Maybe it’s a dumb question but do they have to be online for the gifting to work?
I was kind of hoping he would login and see it as a surprise, but I totally understand if that’s not a feature. In the past we have gifted stuff when we were both online by right clicking on their name in the top left and gifting, but I guess I’m just pretty unsure how the, “Gifting*” button works inside of the inventory.

I haven’t tried it yet, but yes, I would assume they need to be online. Don’t know if they need to be in the same zone as you, either.
