SO I started playing when D4 Bad. So yes I’m new but I have to ask a few thing…
-
Did this team get the writers from Chrono Cross to write this game’s story? So far I’m 32, Just washed up on a beach with some guy and am completely lost. I get this is time traveling but it’s not very clear. (I swear this is bad Deja Vu to CC. NO ONE, not even the writers of CC can tell you what the game is about and people have Theory Crafted for years about that game.)

Dungeons: Maybe I need to google it but there is no clear information on those in game.

Is there a “Skip Story / campaign” after you beat this once?
SO far this is a nice and better game than D4 in terms of game play, but the story is just something else. I get the Void is bad and we are the light but damn…
If any one can help me clear a few things up, thank you for your time in doing so.
Thanks and may the odds be ever in your favor!
Yeah you should probably watch some videos on the dungeons. They have specific uses which you won’t really need to worry about early on because you can’t even access them without a key anyway. And you probably won’t see any keys for a while.
No you can’t skip the campaign, but you don’t have to finish it. Once you reach the End of Time you have access to the endgame part, you just don’t usually want to go to endgame at low level. Also there are side quests in the campaign that unlock your idol slots as well as free passive points. You want to get that stuff out of the way before going to endgame, but you don’t have to continue the campaign once you do. There are shortcuts through the campaign, but that requires access to the dungeons. So on new characters you have to run through like normal but alts can do some shortcuts once you have dungeon keys.
Thank you. I had a key for Lights… I went in and died, got throw out. So ya I’ve gotten lucky to get ONE key I guess. But thank you
Dungeons work as campaign skips, but they’re not balanced yet for lower level characters. The devs intend to rebalance them and eventually give you alternative ways to earn the idols/passives quest, at which point you’ll be able to skip the campaign.
But for now you need to do the campaign until end of time (or get someone to carry you there) to choose your mastery and you need to do the quests for the idols/passives. Although you can level up somewhere you want (arena, dungeons, etc, as long as you can handle the content) and then speed run the campaign with a higher level char for those.
