Maul Feels Unsatisfying To Use

The constant sliding forward when using it looks like I’m playing at very high ping. It feels uhhhhhhh…feels disconnected? unresponsive? inaccurate? I don’t know the right term for this feeling tbh. And it looks funny and low quality imo… Also I feel like it often misses too if the target is too close and you slide forward.

A solution (maybe): Make Maul cast on spot where your character is standing instead of relying on mouse click. It’s a 360 AoE skill anyways.
Edit: I think the only time it should rely on mouse cursor position is when you have the the “Tremor Slam” and “Skull Crusher” node in the Werebear Form tree. But other than the “Skull Crusher” node, I think it really should be cast on the character position even with the Tremor Slam node and shouldn’t make any unnecessary movements.

I personally love the ability, but took some getting used to and AOE scaling from leap slam rly makes it work.

Had some issues with kinda rubberbanding thingie but I tbink it got better yesterday… not sure. They’re fixing it I think for all movement skills, it’s just cause it’s MP beta.

Movement part has to stay because it’s our tool for dealing with archer mobs - you get immunity from leapslam tree and jump them.

I completely agree with you. Maul feels like the skill animation needs a touch-up to feel more on point with the slam
