The Necromancer passive Mark of Punshisment tooltip claims the applied curse lasts both for 5 seconds and 8 seconds. Either one of them is a typo or some clarification is probably needed.
I believe this was left over from when the Mark of Death was its own ability. It could explain why the numbers here vary.
