The Manifest armor ability “Sweeping Melee Attack”, triggered by the shield throw node Manifest Inspiration, along with the “Whirlwind” ability from the Manifest Armor node “Whirlwind”, do not gain benefits from increased area of effect on gear.
As an example, if you have 4/4 on increased stats from gloves (+240% impact) and a t7 increased area for area skills on your gloves, Manifest armor will not get any increase in the area from these AoE abilities. The effective area should be more than double based on the glove stats combined with the increased impact from the manifest glove node, but there is no change. Similarly, if you have unlocked the weapon node in manifest armor and have increased area for melee area skills on your weapon, the two skills listed above will also not get any benefit.
This makes the shield throw node “manifest inspiration” almost worthless, as the default range of the ability is miniscule.
