I get to almost end of campaign and what I see, mana for warlock is serious issue - mostly of my time I have to use focus to regain mana. In my opinion mana need serious and significant adjustment. Till this time playing any mage build is just not fun.
Using one post - respawn in boss fights - why when I have last battle I need to repeat all over again. After 20 min I just realised that’s just waste of my time and just loose interest…
I’m sure there are some kind of tutorials or help for end game builds but I talking here about normal playthrough.
What’s is funny - if script (the game) allows me to go in zone minus mana (in my blue circle showing me -40) - looks that dev know about this and also know that is a problem here.
And he is talking about forum posts where the mana topic is talked through again and again.
To make it short: Mana is your limiting ressource and the balance of the game is built arround making mana sparse so people have to use their brains and skills to make up good builds.
The negative mana thing is something I dislike as well because with some builds at 1 mana I can cast skills that are worth 50-whatever mana. After several hundrets of hours I’m okay with the system in place and I think people need to adjust and think outside the “I have always ressources to cast everything I want!” box other arpgs are in.
Then again you might have known all of this if you followed Vaourfires tipp and use the search function for the mana threads. No offence mate but this topic is like beating a dead horse and you might get unpleasent answers right to the point of “Use the search function!” very often.
sorry, I should have been clearer - I wasnt talking about tutorials etc - what you are querying has been considered in very big discussion threads quite a few times before and imho there isnt much point in starting again here without spending some time seeing the hows, whys and what people do to address them. I think even the devs chimed in a few times to clarify their objectives wrt mana.
As @Macknum summarises its a very complex topic with a lot of nuances that affect very big parts of the game.
Oh and this isnt a problem, its actually a mechanic used by the some special builds AND it allows you to cast one last mana spender when you dont have the full mana required. All part of the devs plans.
